What you'll do
- Produce creative assets for campaigns, digital channels, web, and social media with a focus on quality and alignment.
- Apply Illumio's brand guidelines across different materials to ensure consistency and professional execution.
- Design presentations, marketing collateral, and internal communications that support sales and product teams.
- Work in Figma for web and product-related design tasks, creating interfaces and interactive elements.
- Create layouts, images, and iconography, and assist with production to move projects from concept to completion.
- Work with designers, writers, and other teams to gather requirements and integrate feedback into polished designs.
- Incorporate feedback and refine designs quickly to meet deadlines and support evolving campaign needs.
- Support the development of brand systems, ensuring that visual elements remain modular and scalable.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute ideas that enhance visual storytelling and campaign impact.
- Maintain organized design files and version control to support efficient collaboration and asset retrieval.
- Assist in the production of marketing materials, including print and digital formats, with attention to technical specs.
- Explore new tools and techniques to improve design workflows and deliver higher-quality outputs.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to align design work with campaign goals and messaging strategies.
- Support A/B testing and iterative design processes to optimize visual performance over time.
Requirements
- 1 to 3 years of experience in design or a related field (internship, freelance, or full-time) providing hands-on project exposure.
- Skilled in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, with the ability to create and edit visual assets efficiently.
- Familiar with Figma and current design workflows, including component-based design and prototyping.
- Solid understanding of typography, layout, and visual hierarchy to create clear and engaging compositions.
- A portfolio showcasing creative thinking, problem-solving, and careful execution across multiple design disciplines.
- Eager to learn, open to feedback, and able to work effectively within a team environment.
- Clear communication skills and a cooperative approach to ensure alignment with stakeholders and collaborators.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines while maintaining a high standard of quality.
- Comfort working in a structured design system while retaining flexibility to adapt to new challenges.
- Willingness to follow established brand standards and contribute to their evolution when appropriate.
Nice to have
- Experience with Adobe InDesign for creating print and digital layouts with precision.
- Familiarity with PowerPoint and presentation design to support sales and executive communications.
- Exposure to web or UI design principles, including responsive design and user-centered thinking.

Practical notes
This role is based on-site four days a week at the Sunnyvale, CA headquarters, allowing for regular face-to-face collaboration with the creative and marketing teams.
