Senior / Lead IFS Finance Consultant (IGT1)

About the role

The organization is currently seeking a Senior / Lead IFS Finance Consultant to oversee the implementation and ongoing management of Finance modules within IFS Cloud. You will be responsible for the entire Finance workstream, from designing solutions and configuring systems to supporting Go-Live, hypercare, and post-implementation phases. The role requires ownership of the full project lifecycle for Finance modules, ensuring that client-specific requirements are met through standardised IFS solutions. You will act as the primary technical and functional expert for the Finance domain throughout the engagement. This position demands a proactive approach to solution design and configuration within the IFS Applications environment. Success in this role will be measured by the successful delivery and adoption of stable financial processes. You will be instrumental in bridging the gap between business needs and system capabilities.

Key facts

What you'll do

• Facilitate Finance Fit-to-Standard workshops and design solutions to address client business requirements.
• Configure General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash Management, and Fixed Assets modules in the IFS Cloud platform.
• Manage data migration activities and establish financial reconciliation processes to ensure data integrity.
• Assist with integrations involving banking, payroll, and external systems to enable seamless data flow.
• Lead System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and Go-Live transition activities for Finance modules.
• Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support along with ongoing improvements after Go-Live to optimise system performance.
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders and direct the Finance workstream to ensure alignment with project objectives.
• Analyse business processes and translate them into detailed configuration specifications for the Finance team.
• Monitor project timelines and deliverables to ensure adherence to scope and quality standards.
• Document configuration settings, business processes, and testing procedures for future reference and knowledge transfer.
• Support the development of training materials and conduct sessions for end-users on new Finance functionalities.
• Identify risks and issues during implementation and propose mitigation strategies to the project team.
• Act as a liaison between the client and technical teams to resolve complex financial system issues.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing the Finance module operations.

Requirements

• Hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Information Systems, or a related discipline as the minimum academic qualification.
• Possess over 7 years of experience in ERP Finance consulting within a professional services environment.
• Demonstrate a proven track record of delivering IFS Applications or IFS Cloud solutions to clients across different industries.
• Show an in-depth understanding of IFRS and finance processes, including Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Order-to-Cash (O2C), and Record-to-Report (R2R) cycles.
• Have hands-on experience in data migration, reconciliation, and supporting Go-Live activities for financial systems implementations.
• Exhibit strong skills in stakeholder management and facilitating workshops with cross-functional teams.
• Hold relevant IFS certifications, such as IFS Certified Implementation Consultant, which are preferred for this role.
• Display a solid understanding of financial controls, compliance requirements, and internal audit considerations.
• Show the ability to work independently and as part of a distributed team in a hybrid work environment.
• Demonstrate effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for interacting with clients at various organisational levels.
• Bring a methodical approach to problem-solving and decision-making in complex financial system scenarios.

• Show adaptability to changing project requirements and priorities in a dynamic consulting environment.
