What you'll do
Design and implement user-facing interfaces using modern web technologies within the IFS platform and its associated modules.
Build and maintain server-side services and APIs that support enterprise asset management workflows and business processes.
Collaborate with product managers and domain experts to understand requirements and define technical approaches for new features.
Write clean, testable code and participate in code reviews to maintain high standards across the development team.
Troubleshoot and resolve defects in both front-end and back-end components of the IFS suite in production environments.
Contribute to architectural decisions that shape the scalability, performance, and reliability of IFS applications over time.
Mentor junior engineers and share knowledge through documentation, pair programming sessions, and informal technical discussions.
Participate in agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, and retrospectives with the team.
Integrate third-party systems and external data sources into the IFS platform as needed for customer deployments.
Optimize application performance and ensure responsive user experiences across desktop and mobile browsers for end users.
Define and enforce coding standards, patterns, and best practices that guide the development of new functionality.
Work with quality assurance engineers to write and maintain automated tests that cover critical user workflows.
Requirements
Proven experience as a full stack engineer building production web applications in a professional software development environment.
Strong proficiency in front-end development with HTML, CSS, and modern JavaScript frameworks for building interactive interfaces.
Experience with back-end technologies such as Java, C#, or similar languages commonly used in enterprise software development.
Familiarity with relational databases and SQL for data modeling, querying, and optimizing database performance in production systems.
Comfortable working with RESTful APIs and demonstrating a solid understanding of service-oriented architecture patterns and principles.
Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience in software development.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
Willingness to travel occasionally to customer sites or IFS offices for on-site support, training, and cross-team collaboration.
Nice to have
Experience with IFS Applications or similar enterprise asset management software platforms and their customization frameworks.
Knowledge of cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines using containerized environments such as Docker and Kubernetes orchestration.
Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD tooling for automated testing, building, and releasing software updates reliably.
Understanding of security best practices including authentication, authorization, encryption, and data protection standards in enterprise software.
Exposure to mobile development frameworks or responsive design principles for delivering consistent experiences across device types.

JavaScript and TypeScript for building interactive and dynamic web interfaces with strong type safety.
React or Angular for component-based front-end architecture and managing complex application state effectively.
Java or C# for server-side business logic, API development, and implementing enterprise-grade services.

Git for version control, branch management, and collaborative code development across distributed engineering teams.
Docker and containerization technologies for packaging applications consistently and supporting deployment across different environments.
Practical notes
This role is based in the IFS Madrid office and requires on-site presence during regular business hours each week.
