About the role

Horizon3 is on the lookout for a strategic Salesforce Systems Architect to fortify the operational framework of our go-to-market teams. This role is designed for a senior individual contributor who will play a pivotal role in maintaining the integrity and scalability of our Salesforce platform alongside related technologies. As the primary technical authority on Salesforce architecture, governance, security, and automation standards, you will be instrumental in shaping our operational capabilities.

What you'll do

• Oversee the architecture, configuration, governance, and overall health of the Salesforce platform to ensure optimal performance.
• Establish and uphold best practices for Salesforce automation, focusing on Flow design, reusability, testing protocols, and naming conventions.
• Manage platform governance, including user permissions, profiles, roles, and access models, to maintain a principle of least privilege.
• Collaborate closely with Security, Business Systems, Revenue Operations, and leadership teams to ensure Salesforce administration aligns with security and compliance requirements.
• Develop and sustain system change management processes that facilitate audits, releases, change tracking, testing, and comprehensive documentation.
• Design and refine scalable platform structures and business processes that support the company's growth while minimizing operational risks.
• Assess proposed system changes for architectural integrity, potential impact, compliance, and overall supportability.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives from initial concept through to implementation and user adoption.
• Enhance platform reliability and efficiency by simplifying designs, minimizing technical debt, and standardizing administrative practices.
• Partner with analytics and data teams to boost data accuracy, ensure consistent reporting, and enhance executive visibility.
• Evaluate new platform features, integrations, and administrative strategies for their scalability, security, and business value.
• Provide strategic advice to go-to-market leadership regarding Salesforce strategy, governance trade-offs, platform risks, and operational scalability.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of experience in Revenue Operations, Business Systems, Sales Operations, or GTM Systems.
• In-depth knowledge of Salesforce, encompassing platform architecture, security model design, automation, reporting, data architecture, and governance.
• Significant experience in establishing and governing best practices for Salesforce Flows and other automation tools within a rapidly evolving company.
• Proven track record in designing scalable permission models and managing user access with robust control measures.
• Strong understanding of change management, release governance, and audit support processes for critical business systems.
• Demonstrated ability to lead complex system implementations, platform redesigns, or transformative process initiatives.
• Practical experience applying AI to solve intricate systems and operational challenges.
• Excellent project management skills and a knack for engaging stakeholders effectively.
• Ability to influence senior leaders across various departments without direct authority.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills focused on delivering measurable business outcomes.
• Capacity to balance governance, compliance, and user experience effectively.
• Proficient in documentation, communication, and change management practices.
