What you'll do
- Oversee the billing processes for customers and partners, which includes generating and dispatching invoices, processing payments, assisting in collections, and analyzing the aging of accounts receivable.
- Prepare and maintain reconciliations for revenue and accounts receivable accounts, investigating and resolving any discrepancies that arise.
- Play a vital role in the month-end closing activities by preparing journal entries, conducting reconciliations, supporting deferred revenue accounting, and generating necessary reports.
- Work closely with internal teams to resolve billing inquiries and improve the overall customer billing experience.
- Provide necessary documentation and support for external audit requests related to revenue, billing, and accounts receivable processes.
- Assist in the creation, documentation, and enhancement of billing and accounts receivable procedures and internal controls.
- Engage in initiatives focused on process improvement, system implementation, and other finance-related projects.
- Ensure that financial records are accurate and comply with company policies and accounting standards.
- Promote a collaborative and supportive atmosphere in a remote working environment.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in accounts receivable, billing, or general accounting, preferably in a SaaS or dynamic technology environment.
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP principles and general ledger accounting practices.
- Familiarity with accounting software such as NetSuite, Sage, QuickBooks, or equivalent platforms.
- Proficient in Excel or Google Sheets for data analysis and reporting.
- Proven attention to detail, thoroughness, and organizational skills, accompanied by a strong sense of accountability.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and changing environment with evolving priorities.
- Capacity to work independently in a remote setting while effectively collaborating with team members.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer service.
Nice to have
- CPA certification or CPA-track designation is a plus.
