Growth & Marketing Associate
Job description
About the role
Responsibilities focus on supporting go-to-market and lead generation through multiple channels. The position targets early-career professionals who develop hands-on skills while working with the growth team.
Marketing teams grow awareness and demand for a company's products. They write copy, run campaigns, manage channels, and measure results. The work spans content, paid ads, email, events, and search. Marketing roles combine creativity with data and constant testing. Marketing teams usually run experiments every week and keep the work that performs. Most companies hire specialists in channels such as paid search, email, or content.
Key facts
What you'll do
Target audiences are reached through inbound campaigns that use content, social posts, and SEO tasks.
Prospect lists are built, outreach sequences are sent, and follow-ups are managed to support outbound efforts.
Messaging is amplified as content is created and shared on platforms such as LinkedIn, X, and Reddit.
Key metrics are recorded and analyzed to track campaign results and guide decisions.
New approaches are tested as learnings from GTM experiments are contributed alongside the growth team.
Requirements
Experience in marketing, sales development, or growth for 1-2 years is required for this position.
Interest in inbound, outbound, and content-driven growth must be present for success in this role.
Familiarity with tools like HubSpot, Apollo, or LinkedIn Sales Navigator is expected, or the capacity to learn them is necessary.
Curiosity, proactivity, and excitement to gain hands-on experience shape daily responsibilities.
Practical notes
Completing the application form in full and recording a video are mandatory steps in the process. Availability within the US Time Zone aligns with remote work expectations. Typical interview steps
Marketing interviews often include a portfolio review, a campaign exercise, and analytics questions. Candidates may be asked to plan a launch, write a brief, or improve a funnel. Some loops include a presentation. Results from past campaigns carry the most weight. Interviewers ask about specific campaigns you ran and what the numbers said. Preparing a short case of one campaign with its results is strong preparation.
Good to know
Growth and marketing roles often combine execution with learning for early-career professionals. Digital channels such as social platforms and email tools are commonly used in this field. Data tracking informs decisions and supports iterative improvements in campaigns.
Questions to ask
Worth asking in any interview: how the team measures success, who the role works with daily, what the onboarding looks like, and what the company is trying to achieve this year. Asking what past hires did well is a strong final question. Keep the list short and pick the questions that matter most to you.
Career growth
Marketing careers move from associate to manager, director, and VP levels. Specializations include growth, brand, product marketing, and content. Generalists often start, then specialize as they advance. Measured impact on pipeline and revenue drives progression. Marketing careers reward measurable results and adaptability. Channel experience plus business sense usually beats a general resume.
