Senior Frontend Engineer
Job description
About the role
This role builds AI-powered interfaces and analytics experiences for fast-growing companies. You will collaborate remotely with product, design, and engineering teams.
Software engineers turn product ideas into working code. Engineers work in small teams, review each other's work, and ship in small batches. Most teams follow agile practices such as sprints and daily standups. Engineers also write tests, fix bugs, and improve performance. The field values clear communication as much as technical skill. Engineers spend part of every week on planning, code review, and debugging, not just writing new code. The ability to explain a technical decision in plain words separates strong engineers from the rest.
Key facts
What you'll do
Develop dashboards and data-heavy interfaces to support analytics and business decision-making for global clients.
Translate designs into responsive production-ready UI so products meet visual and functional standards.
Integrate AI-powered workflows and LLM functionality to enable intelligent product features and automations.
Work with real-time frontend data flows to ensure responsiveness and correctness in live scenarios.
Optimize frontend performance and usability to improve load times, responsiveness, and user satisfaction.
Requirements
Strong production experience with React 19 and Next.js App Router is required for building robust interfaces.
Expert-level TypeScript strict mode experience (non-negotiable) to ensure type safety and maintainable code.
Strong Tailwind CSS implementation skills for consistent and efficient styling across the application.
Experience building dashboards, analytics tools, or data-heavy applications to support complex data visualization needs.
Experience with Server Components and frontend state management for scalable and performant UIs.
Production experience integrating LLM APIs into applications to enable AI-driven features.
Practical prompt engineering experience to design effective prompts and interactions with language models.
Experience with OpenAI APIs or AI SDKs to integrate advanced AI capabilities into the frontend.
Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, Copilot, or Claude Code to boost development efficiency.
Experience working with Supabase or similar BaaS platforms to accelerate backend integration and data handling.
Ability to work with PostgreSQL schemas and relational data structures for managing complex data relationships.
Experience implementing polling and real-time data-fetching patterns to keep interfaces responsive and up to date.
Strong written and verbal English communication skills for clear collaboration with distributed teams.
Prior remote work experience, fluency with remote collaboration tools and platforms (such as Slack, Zoom, Google Workspace, Jira, Linear, or similar), and experience with US or UK-based companies are required; applications without this background will not be considered.
Nice to have
Experience working on AI-native products to contribute to innovative and intelligent user experiences.
Familiarity with modern charting and visualization libraries for richer data presentation and exploration.
Experience contributing to design systems and scalable UI architecture to maintain consistency and scalability.
Practical notes
You must complete the full application form and record a video as part of the process; without this, applications will not be considered.
Typical interview steps
Hiring for engineering roles usually starts with a recruiter screen, followed by one or two technical rounds. Candidates often solve a coding problem, discuss past projects, and answer system design questions. Some loops include a take-home task. Final rounds typically cover team fit and give candidates a chance to ask questions. Interviewers look for how you break down an unfamiliar problem, not just whether you reach the answer. Practicing a few problems aloud and reviewing your own past projects are the best preparation.
Good to know
Frontend roles in this space commonly use React, TypeScript, and modern tooling to build reliable user interfaces.
AI integration is increasingly common in web products, leveraging LLM APIs and SDKs to add intelligent features.
Remote collaboration relies on clear communication and standard tools for distributed teams.
Design systems and component libraries help maintain consistency across large and growing codebases.
Real-time data patterns such as polling and streaming are typical for analytics and dashboards.
