As a Shift Leader in Maintenance at HelloFresh, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of our production facilities. What you'll do

• Lead and supervise a team of maintenance technicians, ensuring that all maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
• Develop and implement maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and maximize productivity across all production lines.
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment and machinery to identify potential issues before they escalate into major problems.
• Collaborate closely with production teams to coordinate maintenance activities, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
• Oversee the execution of both preventive and corrective maintenance tasks, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, parts used, and time spent on tasks, to facilitate reporting and analysis.
• Train and mentor team members on best practices in maintenance procedures, safety protocols, and equipment operation.
• Analyze maintenance data to identify trends and areas for improvement, implementing changes as necessary to enhance operational efficiency.
• Ensure that all maintenance activities comply with regulatory requirements and company policies, promoting a culture of safety and accountability.
• Manage inventory of spare parts and maintenance supplies, ensuring that necessary materials are available when needed.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, contributing ideas and solutions to enhance maintenance processes and reduce costs.
• Act as a point of contact for external service providers and contractors, coordinating their activities and ensuring quality standards are met.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a maintenance role, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment, with at least 3 years in a supervisory capacity.
• Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and automation systems, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively.
• Familiarity with maintenance management systems and tools, as well as experience in implementing preventive maintenance programs.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with various stakeholders.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving, with the ability to think critically and make decisions under pressure.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in maintenance operations, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as required by the shift schedule.

Nice to have

• Experience with Lean manufacturing principles and methodologies, contributing to process optimization initiatives.
• Certification in maintenance management or a related field, demonstrating a commitment to professional development.
• Familiarity with industry-specific software and tools for maintenance tracking and reporting.
• Previous experience in a fast-paced food production environment, understanding the unique challenges and requirements.

Skills & tools

• Proficient in using maintenance management software and tools for tracking and reporting maintenance activities.
• Strong analytical skills for interpreting data and identifying trends in maintenance performance.
• Competence in using various hand and power tools, as well as diagnostic equipment for troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of safety management systems and practices, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.

• This position is based in Magdeburg, Saxony-Anhalt, Germany, and may require occasional travel to other facilities or sites.
