This role functions as a key part of our clinical services team, bridging the gap between our virtual care model and direct patient interaction. What you'll do
- Execute full transthoracic echocardiograms autonomously from patient preparation to final image acquisition.
- Maintain high standards of efficiency and speed during diagnostic exams to ensure patient flow remains smooth and timely.
- Adhere to established clinical protocols to guarantee data accuracy and compliance with regulatory and quality standards.
- Perform detailed cardiac chamber measurements and valve assessments using standardized techniques and instrumentation.
- Travel to various sites throughout the week to provide diagnostic services across the Holland area using provided or rented transportation.
- Participate in monthly staff meetings and periodic training sessions to stay current on policies, procedures, and technological updates.
- Utilize diagnostic ultrasound equipment to optimize image quality while ensuring patient comfort and safety during each procedure.
- Conduct thorough patient examinations that capture all required views and measurements for comprehensive cardiac evaluation.
- Document all procedures and findings accurately within the designated clinical documentation systems in a timely manner.
- Collaborate effectively with remote physicians and support staff to clarify protocols, discuss challenging cases, and ensure alignment on patient care.
Requirements
- Active Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer certification via ARDMS or CCI is mandatory for eligibility.
- Completion of an accredited 2-year degree program in Ultrasound Technology, Nursing, or Allied Health is required.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional clinical experience in cardiac or vascular sonography is necessary.
- Proven ability to manage patient exams independently from start to finish without constant oversight.
- High level of proficiency in English is required for clear communication with patients and healthcare providers.
- Strong interpersonal skills and professional bedside manner are essential for building patient trust and cooperation.
- Physical ability to perform sonographic procedures including standing for extended periods and maneuvering equipment.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required due to the travel nature of the position.

- Familiarity with the Studycast platform for image transfer and communication is preferred but not required.
