About the role

In this role, you will play a key role in fostering and expanding a vibrant developer community centered around our primary products. Your main responsibilities will include engaging with developers, identifying promising talent, and establishing frameworks that allow the community to contribute quality coding challenges at scale. You will act as a critical bridge between our engineering organization and the global developer ecosystem, ensuring that our content strategy aligns with the latest technical trends and user needs. This position requires a proactive mindset to build sustainable relationships and empower community members to become active co-creators. You will be instrumental in transforming raw community energy into structured, educational experiences for our user base. The success of this role will be measured by the health and growth of the developer network you help cultivate. Your work will directly impact the quality and volume of challenges that millions of developers interact with on our platform.

Key facts

What you'll do

• Establish and oversee a global network of experts to develop coding challenges.
• Curate and manage a community-driven pipeline of high-quality, hands-on coding questions, including problem descriptions, solutions, hints, and guidelines for our core offerings.
• Encourage community involvement, support developer success, and analyze engagement metrics to guide strategic decisions.
• Identify, recruit, and collaborate with developer advocates, contributors, community leaders, and influencers to enhance our outreach and credibility.
• Translate complex technical concepts into clear, accessible content that empowers developers of all levels to learn and practice effectively.
• Partner with engineering teams to gather insights on new technologies and translate them into relevant coding assessment content.
• Monitor and report on community health and engagement data to continuously improve the quality and relevance of the developer experience.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key community stakeholders to ensure ongoing collaboration and feedback loops.
• Drive initiatives to onboard and mentor new community contributors to sustain long-term growth.
• Ensure all community contributions adhere to strict standards of quality, accuracy, and clarity for our coding challenge library.
• Act as the primary point of contact for community members, providing guidance and resolving inquiries related to content and participation.
• Explore and implement innovative methods to increase participation and diversity within the developer community.

Requirements

• Proven experience in building technical communities and advocating for developers, combining strong technical expertise with excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Hands-on experience in coding, developing sample applications, or delivering technical projects that showcase your ability to educate through practical examples.
• Solid technical background with proficiency in at least one mainstream programming language and technology stack.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, capable of simplifying complex technical issues and solutions to empower developers.
• A genuine commitment to supporting developers and understanding their workflows without applying sales pressure.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Experience in creating technical documentation or educational materials that explain complex topics clearly.
• A strong sense of ownership and accountability for the success of community initiatives and content quality.

Nice to have

• Experience in contributing to or developing for developer ecosystems.
• Familiarity with open-source communities and the creation of technical content.
• Knowledge of AI-driven workflows to enhance product functionalities.
