Platform Operations Specialist
Job description
, Inc.
About the role
You will own the design, implementation, and scaling of reconciliation and control infrastructure across Gusto's product suite and entities, ensuring transaction categorization and controls are robust, auditable, and scalable. You will lead audit remediation workstreams in partnership with external auditors and internal Accounting and Controls, translating regulatory scrutiny into durable operational frameworks. You will act as the cross-functional escalation point for complex reconciliation and loss issues, framing ambiguous problems, defining success metrics, and driving resolution with minimal oversight while mentoring analysts along the way. You will partner deeply with Engineering, Product, Accounting, and Finance to spec, build, and measure systems and tooling that make loss detection and reconciliation processes resilient at scale. You will build reusable AI workflows, templates, and standards that raise the entire team's efficiency and establish best practices for applying AI to financial operations. You will mentor analysts, elevate documentation, and set the standard for how high-stakes operational work is executed and communicated. If you want to build the financial infrastructure that lets Gusto operate at scale in a regulated environment, this is the seat where you will have lasting impact.
