Gungho is seeking a talented Video Editor on a contract basis to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for a creative individual who has a passion for storytelling through visual media. The Video Editor will be responsible for crafting engaging video content that aligns with our brand's vision and objectives. You will work closely with our production team to edit and enhance video footage, ensuring that the final product meets the highest quality standards.

What you'll do

• Collaborate with producers and directors to understand the vision and objectives of each project, ensuring that the final video aligns with the intended message and style.
• Edit raw footage into polished videos, incorporating graphics, sound, and special effects as needed to enhance storytelling.
• Review and select the best takes from multiple shots, ensuring that the pacing and flow of the video are engaging and coherent.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks effectively to meet tight deadlines without compromising quality.
• industry-standard software to edit videos, including but not limited to Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar tools.
• Implement feedback from team members and stakeholders, making necessary revisions to ensure the final product meets expectations.
• Stay updated on the latest trends in video editing and production techniques, incorporating new ideas and methods into your work.
• Organize and maintain video assets and project files, ensuring that everything is easily accessible for future use or revisions.
• Assist in the development of storyboards and scripts, providing input on the visual aspects of the project from the outset.
• Create and manage timelines for each project, ensuring that all phases of production are completed on schedule.
• Collaborate with sound designers and motion graphics artists to integrate audio and visual elements seamlessly.
• Participate in team meetings and brainstorming sessions, contributing creative ideas for new projects and campaigns.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Video Editor, with a portfolio showcasing a range of completed projects.
• Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or equivalent tools.
• Strong understanding of video production processes, including pre-production, filming, and post-production.
• Excellent attention to detail, with a keen eye for visual composition and storytelling.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing time effectively to meet deadlines.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey ideas and incorporate feedback.
• Familiarity with color grading, audio mixing, and motion graphics is a plus.
• A degree in Film, Media Production, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
• Experience in creating content for various platforms, including social media, websites, and promotional materials.

Nice to have

• Experience working in the gaming or entertainment industry, particularly with content that targets a younger audience.
• Knowledge of additional software tools such as After Effects or DaVinci Resolve for enhanced visual effects and color correction.
• Previous experience in a remote work environment, demonstrating strong self-motivation and discipline.

Skills & tools

• Video Editing Software: Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, After Effects (preferred)
• Audio Editing: Basic knowledge of audio editing tools and techniques
• Graphic Design: Familiarity with design software such as Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator is a plus
• Project Management: Ability to use project management tools to track progress and deadlines
