About the role

You will own the design and delivery of platform capabilities that directly support 500+ engineers in their daily work. You will drive innovation by creating tools and automated solutions that improve the speed, quality, and security of software delivery across the organization. You will operate at the intersection of infrastructure and developer experience, ensuring that the platforms and services are reliable, scalable, and easy to use. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into robust technical solutions. You will also play a key role in standardizing best practices and enabling engineering teams through automation and self-service platforms.

What you'll do

Define and evolve the platform strategy to enable engineering teams to deliver software faster with greater quality and security.

Design, build, and maintain production-grade software including web applications, libraries, and command-line interfaces that power internal workflows.

Operate and optimize cloud infrastructure on AWS, ensuring high availability, performance, and cost-efficiency.

Develop and maintain Kubernetes operators and associated tooling to automate complex application lifecycle management.

Champion developer experience by creating and improving tooling, CLIs, and automation that simplify how engineers build and deploy software.

Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to streamline code integration, testing, and deployment processes across diverse environments.

Design and oversee cloud infrastructure solutions that align with security, compliance, and operational best practices.

Lead incident management processes and contribute to the development of observability and resilience strategies.

Explore and integrate AI concepts within platform services to enhance automation and decision-making capabilities.

Analyze and drive improvements in engineering productivity through metrics, frameworks, and actionable insights.

Contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives by creating courses, LMS content, and other educational materials for engineering teams.

Guide teams in adopting best practices through documentation, tooling, and enablement programs.

Collaborate with technology partners and stakeholders to align platform initiatives with business objectives.

Requirements

You must possess the following hard skills and experience to be considered for this role.

Demonstrate strong fundamentals in software architecture, AWS, Kubernetes APIs, CI/CD, networking, and developer experience.

Have hands-on experience developing production software such as web applications, libraries, or CLI tools.

Bring proven experience operating cloud infrastructure in live environments.

Show proficiency in English for communication and collaboration in a global setting.

Have experience working with platform teams and delivering scalable infrastructure solutions.

Show advanced proficiency in Golang for building high-performance backend services.

Have deep experience designing, deploying, and managing cloud infrastructure on major public providers.

Have experience developing and maintaining Developer Experience tooling, software testing solutions, or similar platforms.

Have hands-on experience building Kubernetes operators and integrating them into production workflows.

Demonstrate a strong understanding of incident management processes and observability practices.

Show knowledge and practical experience with AI concepts and their implementation in platform teams.

Have experience analyzing and improving engineering productivity through established metrics and frameworks.

Have participated in projects related to knowledge sharing for engineering teams, including creating courses or LMS platforms.

Nice to have

Prior experience in platform teams helping shape multi-tenant architectures and reliability practices.

Strong mastery of Golang and its ecosystem for building distributed systems.

Deep expertise in designing and managing complex cloud infrastructure at scale.

Track record of developing Developer Experience tooling, test automation frameworks, or CI/CD platforms.

Proven background in building and operating Kubernetes operators and controllers.

Hands-on experience with incident management tools, runbooks, and on-call processes.

Solid understanding of AI/ML concepts and how these can be leveraged within platform engineering.

Experience with engineering productivity metrics and frameworks such as DORA, SPACE, or similar.

Active participation in open source or internal projects focused on knowledge sharing, training, and enablement.

Practical notes

This is a remote-first role based in Brazil, allowing you to work from home and reside anywhere within the country.

You may choose to work from our São Paulo offices or partner coworking spaces up to twice per week.
