Senior Power & Performance Validation Engineer
Job description
About the role
Graphcore is a company that develops specialized hardware and software infrastructure to advance artificial intelligence compute. As a subsidiary of the SoftBank Group, the company focuses on creating systems that support the development of artificial super intelligence. In this role, you will own the end-to-end validation of power and performance for next generation AI silicon and platforms. You will create and manage comprehensive strategies for thermal, power, and performance characterization across the entire product stack. You will oversee post-silicon bring-up and characterization phases to ensure systems meet strict targets before deployment. You will build and maintain automated frameworks and regression systems using Python to drive efficiency and repeatability. You will evaluate critical subsystems including memory, interconnects, high-speed I/O, and CPUs under varied and demanding workloads. You will design micro-benchmarks and custom workload generators to test system limits and uncover hidden behaviors. You will analyze performance data to pinpoint bottlenecks and suggest architectural or firmware improvements for optimization. You will coordinate closely with RTL, firmware, and software teams to troubleshoot complex hardware-software integration issues. You will establish validation metrics and reporting standards to ensure product reliability and consistency across deployments.
