Careers is seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer to join our newly formed Sales Intelligence team in Colombia. What you'll do

• You will be responsible for designing and implementing intelligent systems for lead scoring, routing, and assignment that will directly influence sales performance. This includes integrating AI and machine learning technologies to provide contextual insights for sales representatives.
• Your role will involve creating Salesforce-based solutions using Apex, Flows, and Lightning Web Components, as well as developing backend services and APIs in Java and TypeScript that support sales tools and AI functionalities.
• You will collaborate with various teams, including Sales, Revenue Operations, and Data Science, to identify and execute on high-impact business opportunities.
• You will take ownership of the entire software development lifecycle, which encompasses gathering requirements, designing solutions, developing software, monitoring performance, and making continuous improvements.
• You will lead engineering initiatives that establish the foundational technology for the new team, contributing to the definition of team practices, mentoring new hires, and shaping the overall engineering culture.

Your experience should include...

• At least 5 years of experience in building scalable backend systems, with a strong command of Java and/or TypeScript, and a thorough understanding of REST API design, data modeling, and integration patterns.
• A solid grasp of the complete software development lifecycle, demonstrating the ability to navigate through ambiguity, convert vague requirements into actionable plans, and deliver results efficiently in a dynamic environment.
• Experience with SQL databases and a familiarity with data pipelines and data-driven architectures.
• Proficiency in Salesforce development, including Apex, Lightning Web Components, and Flows, or a demonstrated capability and willingness to quickly learn the platform.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Operations, and Product, along with a growth mindset and a desire to learn new technologies.

You might also have...

• Previous experience in developing sales tools, CRM integrations, or systems related to revenue operations.
• Familiarity with AI and machine learning concepts, along with practical experience utilizing large language models in production settings, including prompt engineering and retrieval-augmented generation.
• Knowledge of lead scoring methodologies, sales analytics, or marketing automation systems.
• Hands-on experience with AWS or other cloud service platforms.
• Background in event-driven architecture or real-time data processing.
