About the role
You will architect and implement resilient detection logic directly inside third-party mobile applications to defend against location spoofing and fraudulent behavior. You will partner with product and security stakeholders to translate ambiguous anti-fraud requirements into concrete iOS SDK interfaces and testable modules. You will own the full lifecycle of production-facing features, from initial scoping and design reviews through implementation, validation, and rollout to a global customer base. You will instrument the SDK with observability and diagnostics so that edge cases in device behavior and OS updates are captured for rapid analysis. You will collaborate closely with the senior SDK engineer to define technical specifications, evaluate tradeoffs between accuracy and performance, and iterate based on real-world telemetry. You will validate detection models on-device, debug intricate interactions between system frameworks and custom networking layers, and ensure backward compatibility across supported iOS versions. You will contribute to internal tools that streamline SDK integration for customers, improving documentation, sample code, and build configurations. You will participate in code reviews, write unit and integration tests, and uphold the quality bar required for software that runs in regulated environments.

What you'll do
Investigate and implement anti-spoofing detection algorithms directly within the iOS SDK to identify tampered devices and simulated environments.
Design and develop new SDK modules that integrate tightly with Apple frameworks while maintaining strict performance and size constraints for customer apps.
Collaborate with the security team to reverse-engineer emerging spoofing techniques and adapt detection heuristics accordingly.
Create and maintain automated test suites that validate detection accuracy across a wide range of device models, iOS versions, and environmental conditions.
Instrument the SDK with structured telemetry and diagnostic logs to capture anomalies without compromising user privacy or data compliance.
Optimize critical detection paths to minimize CPU, memory, and network usage so that SDK adoption does not degrade host app performance.
Work with product managers to prototype new detection features, iterate based on feedback, and define success metrics for production rollouts.
Support the release process by updating SDK documentation, sample code, integration guides, and internal onboarding materials for new customers.
Partner with QA and reliability engineers to reproduce edge cases, isolate root causes, and verify fixes across diverse device ecosystems.
Contribute to long-term architecture decisions that affect the SDK roadmap, including modularization, dependency management, and compatibility strategies.
Assist in evaluating third-party libraries and tools that can enhance the SDK's capabilities while meeting security and compliance standards.
Implement monitoring hooks that allow customers to detect integration issues early and provide actionable feedback to the SDK team.
Support the creation of technical proposals and design documents that outline new capabilities and their impact on customer deployments.
Engage in knowledge-sharing activities such as internal tech talks, code walkthroughs, and documentation improvements to elevate the team's overall effectiveness.
Adhere to development best practices, including version control discipline, code review participation, and continuous integration workflows.
Requirements
You must be currently enrolled in a degree program and actively attending classes as a student.
You must be available for a dedicated internship period based in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, with consistent working hours during the internship term.
You must have a strong interest in iOS development, mobile security, or anti-fraud technology and demonstrate motivation through personal projects or contributions.
You must possess solid fundamentals in Swift, including memory management, concurrency patterns, and object-oriented design principles.
You must be comfortable working with Apple's Xcode IDE, debugging builds, and interpreting compiler warnings and errors.
You must understand iOS application lifecycle, threading models, and the interaction between the main thread and background work.
You must be familiar with networking concepts such as HTTP, TLS, and common API integration patterns used in mobile SDKs.
You must have basic experience with version control systems, specifically Git, and be able to manage feature branches and resolve merge conflicts.
You must demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to write reproducible test cases for complex behaviors.
You must be able to read and interpret technical documentation, API specifications, and security advisories to implement correct integrations.
You must communicate clearly in English, both in writing and during code discussions with team members across time zones.
You must comply with company policies regarding data handling, privacy, and information security while working on SDK components.
You must be able to work under guidance of senior engineers, follow established coding standards, and incorporate feedback during iterative development cycles.
You must be available to commit to the full internship duration as defined by the team's project timeline and milestones.
Nice to have
Experience building or publishing apps on the Apple App Store using Xcode.
Familiarity with network security concepts, packet analysis, or transport layer protocols.
Basic understanding of machine learning models or statistical methods used in fraud detection.
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks for iOS projects.
Experience contributing to open-source mobile libraries or collaborating in a distributed team environment.
