Key facts

What you'll do

• Collaborate with project managers and clients to understand project requirements and objectives, ensuring alignment throughout the construction process.
• Assist in the development of project plans, timelines, and budgets, contributing to the overall success of each initiative.
• Conduct site visits to monitor progress, assess quality, and ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
• Participate in regular team meetings to discuss project updates, challenges, and solutions, fostering a culture of open communication.
• Prepare detailed reports and documentation related to project status, changes, and financials, ensuring transparency and accountability.
• Engage with subcontractors and suppliers to coordinate schedules, materials, and resources, optimizing project efficiency.
• Utilize construction management software to track project milestones, budgets, and timelines, ensuring adherence to established goals.
• Support the procurement process by evaluating bids, negotiating contracts, and managing vendor relationships to secure the best value for the company.
• Identify potential risks and challenges in projects, proposing proactive solutions to mitigate issues before they escalate.
• Mentor junior team members, sharing knowledge and best practices to enhance their skills and contribute to their professional development.
• Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices, integrating new approaches into our project methodologies.
• Foster strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and community members, representing Bamboohr with professionalism and integrity.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• At least 3 years of experience in construction project management or a similar role, demonstrating a solid understanding of the industry.
• Proficiency in construction management software and tools, such as Procore, AutoCAD, or similar platforms.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with team members and clients.
• A keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality, ensuring that all work meets or exceeds industry standards.

Nice to have

• Experience with sustainable building practices and green construction methods.
• Familiarity with local building codes and regulations specific to the Minneapolis area.
• Certification from a recognized organization, such as Project Management Professional (PMP) or Associate Constructor (AC).

Skills & tools

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to navigate complex project challenges.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for budgeting and reporting purposes.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations within the construction industry.
• Strong negotiation skills for managing contracts and vendor relationships.
