What you'll do

• Design, implement, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines to facilitate seamless software delivery and deployment processes.
• Collaborate with software developers and system operators to ensure smooth integration of development and operations.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and reliability of applications.
• Automate repetitive tasks and processes to enhance efficiency and reduce manual errors.
• Manage cloud infrastructure, ensuring it is scalable, secure, and cost-effective.
• Implement configuration management tools to maintain consistency across development, testing, and production environments.
• Work with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes to streamline application deployment.
• Conduct regular system audits and performance tuning to optimize resource utilization and application responsiveness.
• Engage in incident management, ensuring timely resolution of issues and minimizing downtime.
• Document processes, configurations, and best practices to facilitate knowledge sharing within the team.
• Participate in on-call rotations to provide support for production systems as needed.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve our DevOps practices.

Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a DevOps or similar role within a software development environment.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Ruby for automation tasks.
• Strong experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, including infrastructure as code (IaC) practices.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI to manage build and deployment processes.
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies, particularly Docker and Kubernetes.
• Understanding of networking concepts and security best practices in cloud environments.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack to ensure system health and performance.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience in the financial services sector or with trading platforms is a plus.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and practices, including Scrum or Kanban.
• Knowledge of database management systems, both SQL and NoSQL, and their integration with applications.
• Experience with security compliance frameworks and practices, such as ISO 27001 or GDPR.
• Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git, and best practices for source code management.

Skills & tools

• Proficient in Linux/Unix system administration.
• Strong understanding of DevOps principles and practices.
• Experience with automation and configuration management tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
• Familiarity with service mesh technologies and microservices architecture.
• Knowledge of performance testing tools and methodologies.
