What you'll do
Architect and maintain scalable, reliable infrastructure on AWS using services such as ECS and RDS to support platform growth.
Define and manage infrastructure as code standards using Terraform to ensure consistency, security, and repeatability across environments.
Develop, optimize, and monitor CI/CD pipelines to enable efficient, secure, and reliable software delivery for all engineering teams.
Enhance system observability and incident response by leveraging tools such as Datadog, Sentry, and Coralogix to drive data-informed decisions.
Champion a seamless developer experience by improving tooling, workflows, and the overall usability of the platform.
Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to support fast, safe, and reliable deployments that meet business and compliance requirements.
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues while contributing to long-term system reliability and performance improvements.
Document infrastructure configurations and operational procedures to improve long-term maintainability and knowledge sharing.
Evaluate emerging technologies and contribute to the adoption of tools that enhance platform resilience and developer productivity.
Support the implementation of security best practices and ensure infrastructure changes align with organizational compliance standards.
Requirements
Bring a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in DevOps, SRE, or similar roles focused on building and maintaining resilient systems.
Demonstrate strong expertise with AWS services, particularly Amazon ECS and Amazon RDS, in production environments.
Show hands-on experience building, managing, and maintaining infrastructure as code using Terraform.
Have a proven track record of building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions or GitLab CI.
Possess practical experience with observability tools including Datadog, Sentry, or Coralogix to monitor and troubleshoot systems.
Show a strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, reliability engineering, and performance optimization techniques.
Demonstrate proficiency with scripting or programming languages such as Python or Bash to automate and streamline operations.
Communicate clearly and effectively, with the ability to document complex systems and share knowledge across teams.
Exercise sound judgment and ownership when managing critical infrastructure and responding to production incidents.
Collaborate effectively in a team environment, providing and receiving constructive feedback to improve outcomes.
Maintain a strong commitment to security, reliability, and operational excellence in all work delivered.
Adapt quickly to changing priorities while maintaining attention to detail and high standards.
Willingness to learn and work with modern tooling and frameworks that support continuous delivery and deployment.
Nice to have
Bring experience with Kubernetes, Helm, or other container orchestration tools to enhance platform scalability.
Possess familiarity with Ruby on Rails and or JavaScript applications to better support development teams.
Have experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, or similar relational databases to collaborate effectively on data infrastructure.
Demonstrate experience with Linux or Unix systems administration to support underlying platform operations.
Practical notes
This role is full-time and offers remote-first flexibility, with Ottawa, Toronto, Calgary, or Vancouver preferred for this position.
All offers are contingent on successful background checks conducted in compliance with federal, state, and provincial laws.
Final compensation depends on experience, skills, and location. Regular reviews ensure alignment with market data and internal equity.
Salary range is $120,000 to $160,000 CAD, with additional components such as stock options, wellness stipends, and benefits that are part of Fullscript's total rewards package.
