What you'll do

• Begin your career at Flow Traders with an intensive three-month training program located at our Amsterdam headquarters, designed to provide you with a solid foundation in our core operations and trading practices.
• Gain insights into the various financial instruments we engage with and the intricacies of our trading strategies, which include pricing techniques and the use of proprietary trading systems.
• Engage in trading simulations and quantitative classes led by seasoned Traders and Quantitative Researchers, which will deepen your understanding of the Trader's role in the financial ecosystem.
• Collaborate with fellow graduates on a team project that allows you to apply your learning in a practical setting, fostering teamwork and problem-solving skills.
• After the training phase, you will be assigned to a trading desk that aligns with your strengths and interests, where you will begin to take on more responsibilities.
• Monitor market trends and activities, making swift decisions that impact your desk's performance and profitability.
• Continuously develop your trading skills through hands-on experience and mentorship from experienced colleagues.
• Stay updated with market news and trends to identify potential trading opportunities and act decisively.
• Participate in regular performance reviews and feedback sessions to enhance your trading strategies and personal development.
• Contribute to the team's success by sharing insights and collaborating on trading strategies with your peers.

Requirements

• A completed university degree, preferably in a quantitative discipline such as Finance, Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, or a related field.
• A demonstrated passion for trading and a solid understanding of global financial markets.
• Familiarity with various financial products and their market behaviors.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language, with Python being the preferred choice, along with a strong interest in IT systems and technology.
• Ability to thrive in high-pressure situations, showcasing excellent mental arithmetic and analytical thinking.
• A proactive approach to identifying and seizing emerging trading opportunities.
• An entrepreneurial spirit focused on innovative problem-solving techniques.
• Strong collaborative skills and the ability to communicate effectively within a team environment.
• Willingness to work flexible hours to accommodate market demands.
• A genuine enthusiasm for a dynamic and challenging workplace that offers significant opportunities for growth and reward.

Nice to have

• Previous internship experience in trading, finance, or a related field.
• Knowledge of additional programming languages or data analysis tools.
• Experience with statistical analysis or quantitative research methodologies.
• Familiarity with trading platforms and market analysis software.
• Participation in trading competitions or relevant extracurricular activities.
