About the role

Flow Traders is seeking a skilled Digital Assets Trader to join our international Digital Assets Trading team. This position is available in Amsterdam, Hong Kong, or New York. We are looking for individuals with a solid background in low-latency trading (CeFi) and/or on-chain trading (DeFi), who have a proven history of generating significant profits through effective strategies in real-world applications. The successful candidate will operate at the intersection of fast-moving markets and complex technology, making autonomous decisions that directly impact the P&L of the firm. You will be responsible for identifying and capitalizing on fleeting opportunities while adhering to strict internal controls and risk parameters. This role demands a high degree of ownership over your trading book and the strategies that drive it forward. You will be measured on your ability to consistently generate returns and contribute to the collective knowledge of the trading team. Success in this position is defined by your capacity to execute profitable trades and improve the effectiveness of our digital asset initiatives.

What you'll do

• Architect and deploy fresh trading methodologies across CeFi and DeFi venues, rigorously testing their viability in live conditions.
• Sustain active oversight of open positions, implementing precise adjustments to manage exposure and optimize results.
• Isolate and analyze pricing anomalies across a wide spectrum of exchanges, instruments, and decentralized protocols.
• Partner with technical and operational colleagues to refine trading workflows and enhance the reliability of our execution infrastructure.
• Synthesize complex market data into actionable intelligence, elevating the strategic direction of the portfolio.
• Engineer robust trading rules and logic that adapt to shifting market volatility and liquidity conditions.
• Validate market hypotheses through empirical analysis, using real-time performance metrics to guide future actions.
• Coordinate with global counterparts to synchronize best practices and drive efficiency in our operational framework.
• Maintain detailed documentation of strategy behavior and outcomes to support audits and future development.

Requirements

• Hold a verifiable track record of success at a leading proprietary trading firm or demonstrate exceptional profitability in personal trading endeavors.
• Show definitive evidence of trading strategies that are operational and actively managing capital in production environments.
• Possess hands-on experience in either low-latency CeFi trading ecosystems or on-chain (DeFi) trading landscapes.
• Exhibit a sophisticated grasp of market microstructure, execution tactics, and liquidity distribution across venues.
• Demonstrate fluency with latency-sensitive systems and the intricacies of exchange API integrations.
• Apply analytical rigor to formulate trading hypotheses and assess them using empirical feedback and data patterns.
• Exhibit the discipline to manage demanding and irregular working schedules without compromise on performance.
• Leverage advanced quantitative skills, showcasing mastery in programming and data manipulation using tools such as Python and SQL.
• Navigate complex datasets with ease, ensuring accuracy and reliability in your analytical processes.
• Adapt quickly to new market regimes and technological advancements affecting digital asset classes.
