About the role
Fin is seeking a senior design leader to define the visual and interactive identity of our website. You will manage a team in London and the EMEA region, ensuring our digital presence effectively communicates our product story and brand values. You will own the end-to-end creative direction of the primary customer surface on the web, shaping how our brand is perceived in a critical digital environment. This role requires a strategic mind who can balance high-level brand vision with the granular details of digital execution. You will be responsible for establishing a cohesive visual language that resonates across diverse markets in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. The position demands a partnership with commercial stakeholders to align the website's creative direction with overarching business objectives. You will foster a culture of curiosity and craftsmanship within your team, encouraging experimentation while maintaining rigorous quality standards. Ultimately, your work will determine how users perceive and interact with Fin's digital ecosystem at the highest level.

What you'll do
- Define the creative vision for our website as a primary storytelling and brand surface, establishing a distinct aesthetic and narrative for the EMEA region.
- Lead, mentor, and coach a team of designers to elevate the quality of their output, fostering professional growth and a collaborative studio culture.
- Direct visual design, motion, typography, and interaction strategies to ensure a cohesive and sophisticated user experience across all digital touchpoints.
- Collaborate with engineering, product marketing, growth, and content teams to deliver high-impact web experiences that are technically feasible and strategically aligned.
- Maintain and evolve our design system to ensure consistency while allowing for creative flexibility, enabling scalable and efficient design processes.
- Participate in hands-on design, prototyping, and concept development to bridge the gap between strategic ideas and tangible user interfaces.
- Establish operational workflows for design intake, critique, and quality control to streamline project execution and maintain high standards.
- Recruit and develop design talent to support team growth, identifying skill gaps and nurturing a diverse and capable creative organization.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to translate complex business objectives into intuitive and elegant digital interfaces that drive user engagement.
- Conduct regular design reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure the team's work meets the highest standards of craftsmanship and usability.
- Leverage user feedback and performance insights to iteratively refine the website's design, ensuring continuous improvement and relevance.
- Act as the primary creative representative for the website, articulating design decisions to both internal and external audiences with clarity and confidence.
- Explore emerging design trends and technologies to keep the Fin digital experience innovative and forward-thinking within the competitive payments landscape.
- Ensure all design deliverables adhere to brand guidelines while allowing room for creative exploration and regional adaptation when necessary.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in digital, product, brand, or web design, demonstrating a consistent track record of high-quality output.
- 5+ years of experience in a management or mentorship capacity, leading designers through feedback, career development, and project guidance.
- A portfolio featuring 2 to 3 case studies that highlight leadership, systems thinking, and high-level digital craft, showcasing strategic depth and execution.
- Deep technical proficiency in interaction design, motion, typography, and responsive layouts across a variety of devices and screen sizes.
- Experience managing complex cross-functional projects with senior stakeholders and engineering partners, navigating ambiguity and delivering on time.
- Ability to translate intricate business concepts into clear, user-focused web experiences that communicate value and drive desired actions.
- Experience guiding projects from initial concept through to final launch and QA, ensuring design intent is preserved throughout the development lifecycle.
- A demonstrated understanding of digital design principles, including accessibility, usability, and information architecture, to inform decision-making.

- Background in high-growth B2B, SaaS, or AI-focused companies, with an understanding of the unique challenges these environments present.
- Experience working with creative technologists, motion designers, or front-end engineers to push the boundaries of digital design.
- Proficiency in using research and performance data to inform design decisions, using evidence to validate design hypotheses.
- Familiarity with managing agency or freelance creative partners, integrating external talent seamlessly into the studio workflow.
- Experience providing art direction for video production, extending the brand narrative into motion and audio-visual mediums.
