About the role
Figma is seeking engineers to help protect our design platform, cloud infrastructure, and internal systems. You will join one of our specialized security teams to drive risk reduction and build technical solutions that keep our product and users safe.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Conduct technical security assessments, code audits, and design reviews for product features, AI infrastructure, and cloud systems.
- Design and implement engineering solutions to mitigate security risks, prevent fraud, and stop spam.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to advocate for secure development practices.
- Participate in operational security tasks including vulnerability triage, incident response, and offensive security exercises.
- Develop internal tooling and signals to detect and respond to threats.
Requirements
- 5+ years of engineering experience in either Security Engineering or Software Engineering.
- Proficiency in at least one general-purpose programming language.
- Strong security judgment regarding threat modeling and risk prioritization, or technical judgment in building scalable, maintainable systems.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively across different functions.
Nice to have
- Subject matter expertise in Application Security, Cloud Security, Corporate Security, Data Access Governance, or Identity and Access Management (IAM).
- Proven ability to make difficult prioritization decisions regarding security controls.

Practical notes
Annual base salary range: $153,000 to $376,000 USD. Compensation includes equity, health, dental, and vision coverage, retirement benefits, parental leave, and mental health support.
