Strategic Account Partner
Job description
About the role
Fieldguide is establishing a new state of trust for global commerce and capital markets through automating and streamlining the work of advisory, audit, and tax practitioners at the world's largest CPA firms. In this Strategic Account Partner role, you will own the end-to-end strategic orchestration for our largest and most complex enterprise accounts, acting as the primary external leader who ensures cross-organizational alignment and drives expansion initiatives. You will partner directly with executive sponsors at customer organizations to reinforce value delivered, unlock new sponsorship, and deepen strategic relationships over time. Rather than operating as a traditional project manager, you will function as a trusted advisor who leverages a background in audit, assurance, or advisory to solve nuanced business problems. You will translate deep domain expertise into actionable strategies without needing internal translation, because you are the person firm leadership turns to when the work itself has been done firsthand.
Key facts
What you'll do
You will build and own enterprise-wide account plans that align Fieldguide's strategic value with the customer's vision, priorities, and measurable business outcomes across their organization. You will coordinate and drive cross-practice initiatives, connecting Advisory, Audit, Technology, and operational leaders with internal Fieldguide product and delivery resources to ensure cohesive execution. As a trusted advisor, you will facilitate executive business reviews (EBRs) and alignment sessions that reinforce value delivered, unlock executive sponsorship, and deepen strategic partnerships over the life of the relationship. You will partner with the Strategic Account Executive and Customer Success teams to identify, prioritize, and execute expansion opportunities that unlock incremental value for both the customer and Fieldguide. You will orchestrate internal Fieldguide teams, including AE, ELT, Product, CSE, CS, RevOps, and Marketing, to remove blockers, streamline delivery, and ensure proactive outcomes that keep momentum on the customer's critical initiatives. You will act as the integrated linchpin across functions, reducing friction and accelerating customer momentum by aligning expectations, clarifying scope, and resolving dependencies quickly. You will establish playbooks, frameworks, and repeatable patterns for managing enterprise complexity, tracking initiatives, and reporting progress in a way that makes complexity feel manageable and transparent. You will use qualitative insights and quantitative signals to inform strategic decisions, improving customer experience, outcomes, and retention while identifying where new capabilities or product enhancements are required. You will advocate for customer needs internally, shaping product and roadmap discussions based on deep customer insights unearthed through ongoing conversations and structured reviews. You will represent Fieldguide at customer events, industry forums, and executive gatherings, elevating Fieldguide's brand and demonstrating how the platform delivers measurable trust and efficiency in capital markets and commerce.
Requirements
You bring 8+ years of experience in enterprise account leadership, program leadership, or customer success strategy within complex B2B environments. You have 5+ years of experience in audit, assurance, or a closely related professional-services domain, giving you credibility to discuss workflows, risk considerations, and regulatory realities with practitioners. You have a proven track record of managing complex, multi-threaded customer relationships at scale, navigating multiple stakeholders, timelines, and competing priorities without losing sight of outcomes. You communicate with executive presence and a consultative approach, building trust quickly through structured thinking, clarity of insight, and disciplined follow-through. You are able to influence without authority, persuading internal stakeholders and external customers through logic, empathy, and a clear line of sight to business impact. You are comfortable navigating ambiguity, driving alignment across cross-functional teams, and accelerating outcomes in fast-paced, high-growth environments where processes are still being defined. You demonstrate deep empathy for customers, actively listening to unspoken needs and enabling their success through thoughtful orchestration and proactive support. You have direct experience in SaaS, enterprise software, or professional services, which helps you understand subscription dynamics, implementation cadence, and the expectations of modern digital workflows.
Nice to have
Experience working with audit, assurance, tax, or advisory technology platforms and understanding of how these services are sold and delivered within large enterprises. Familiarity with frameworks for account planning, expansion management, and executive stakeholder engagement in complex B2B sales environments. Exposure to governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) concepts and how they intersect with technology-enabled assurance and advisory services. Understanding of data visualization, reporting automation, and insights generation in enterprise contexts where trust and transparency are central to decision-making.
