What you'll do

• Lead the planning and execution of a diverse range of sports events, ensuring they align with client objectives and expectations.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their vision and requirements, providing expert advice and recommendations throughout the planning process.
• Coordinate logistics such as venue selection, catering, transportation, and accommodations to create a seamless event experience.
• Manage event budgets, ensuring all expenses are tracked and reported accurately, while identifying cost-saving opportunities.
• Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, sponsors, and partners to enhance event offerings and secure necessary resources.
• Oversee the recruitment and training of event staff and volunteers, ensuring they are well-prepared to deliver exceptional service.
• Implement marketing strategies to promote events, utilizing social media, email campaigns, and other channels to maximize attendance and engagement.
• Evaluate the success of each event through post-event analysis, gathering feedback from participants and stakeholders to inform future initiatives.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in sports event management, integrating innovative ideas into event planning.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards, prioritizing the well-being of participants and attendees.
• Act as the primary point of contact during events, troubleshooting any issues that arise and ensuring a positive experience for all involved.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations for clients, showcasing event outcomes and providing insights for future events.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Event Planning, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in event management, specifically within the sports sector.
• Proven track record of successfully managing multiple events simultaneously, demonstrating strong organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to think on your feet in high-pressure situations.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by event schedules.

Nice to have

• Experience working with sports organizations or governing bodies.
• Familiarity with digital event platforms and virtual event management.
• Certification in event planning or project management (e.g., CMP, PMP).
• Knowledge of marketing principles and experience in promoting events.
• Fluency in a second language is a plus, enhancing communication with diverse stakeholders.
