RF Integration and Test Engineer
E-Space is establishing a universal conduit for connectivity that is accessible, secure, and actionable. We are constructing a sophisticated low Earth orbit satellite system to revolutionize the design, economics, and delivery of traditional IoT infrastructure. We are seeking an RF Integration and Test Engineer to own the end-to-end validation of wireless RF systems for our LEO satellite constellation. This role demands over seven years of verified experience successfully verifying RF products for launch. The position reports directly to the Senior Director of RF Systems Engineering and requires seamless collaboration with systems, software, hardware, and test teams. The location for this role is our Arlington, Texas office.
Key Responsibilities
You will architect and execute the complete verification journey for RF modules, from initial design contact through final orbital validation. Your primary focus is transforming satellite communication theory into flight-ready, verified hardware. This involves designing rigorous laboratory test protocols for LEO hardware prior to physical measurement and adjustment. Your daily work will center on building and managing validation test benches, ensuring strict signal integrity in coordination with hardware teams. You will execute detailed review routines, comparing measured performance data against stringent orbital environment simulation models. Preparing modules for shipment will involve comprehensive documentation, ensuring ground stations fully understand module behavior and performance boundaries. Establishing global partner alignment is critical, ensuring our test methodologies mirror mission operations expectations worldwide. You will develop and maintain verification scripts to automate checks, facilitating large-scale instrument deployments for production. Analyzing anomaly reports will allow you to refine test patterns, preventing repeat issues across satellite batches. Maintaining rigorous traceability between system requirements, test cases, and observed module performance data is a core duty.
Requirements
The candidate must possess a minimum of seven years of verified RF verification experience with products that have successfully launched into orbit. Demonstrable skill with satellite communication payloads and associated test equipment is mandatory. You must exhibit proficiency in handling S-band and higher frequency bands while actively managing phase noise challenges. Thriving within a structured quality environment, you will uphold thorough records and participate in rigorous review processes. You must be capable of operating within a regulated framework where procedures are defined and strictly followed. The ability to interpret complex technical specifications and translate them into actionable test plans is essential. You will be required to document every step of the verification process to satisfy compliance standards. Effective communication skills are necessary to convey intricate technical findings to cross-functional stakeholders.
Nice to have
Direct experience with low Earth orbit communication systems is highly preferred. Familiarity with the unique challenges and protocols of LEO networks is an asset.
Tools and Expertise
Proficiency with CAD tools, advanced test equipment, and scripting languages is essential. You will use these skills daily to accomplish verification objectives. You will leverage these tools to diagnose issues and validate performance against precise orbital models. Mastery of test automation frameworks will be utilized to increase verification throughput. Your expertise will guide the selection and configuration of instrumentation for complex measurement scenarios.
Practical Information
Please Compensation is targeted between 140,000 USD and 180,000 USD. This is a full-time position dedicated to pioneering the future of global connectivity.
