Senior Lead, Enterprise Master Data

Element Biosciences is seeking a Senior Lead, Enterprise Master Data to define and govern the foundational structures that enable trusted, scalable, and compliant operations across the organization. In this role, you will own the end-to-end strategy, standards, and roadmap for enterprise master data across material, vendor, and customer domains while ensuring alignment with business, regulatory, and system requirements. You will act as the central authority and strategic partner to leadership, driving consistency, integrity, and continuous improvement in a GxP-regulated environment. This position requires a proactive leader who can translate complex requirements into actionable plans and foster cross-functional collaboration. You will enable data-driven decision-making by ensuring that master data is accurate, consistent, and fit for purpose across the enterprise. What you'll do

Define and evolve the enterprise master data governance strategy and multi-year roadmap for material, vendor, and customer data to support scalable operations.

Own and champion customer master data standards and processes aligned to order-to-cash workflows, including onboarding, pricing, billing, invoicing, and revenue recognition.

Establish, document, and enforce data standards, policies, and decision frameworks to ensure consistency, traceability, and scalability across PLM, ERP, CRM, and downstream systems.

Serve as the recognized subject matter expert for material, vendor, and customer master data, leading cross-functional governance forums to resolve ownership, prioritization, and compliance issues.

Drive initiatives to establish a single source of truth for master data across systems and business processes, reducing duplication and inconsistencies.

Own the master data lifecycle and data quality management, including definition, creation, maintenance, and archival, supported by KPIs and enterprise-wide remediation programs.

Ensure compliance with GDP, internal SOPs, and ISO standards such as ISO 27001, ISO 9001, and ISO 13485, supporting audit readiness, regulatory inspections, and risk mitigation.

Standardize customer master attributes including sales channel, payment terms, VAT/EORI, Incoterms, hierarchies, and account structures to enable accurate order processing, invoicing, and reporting.

Partner with business and IT leaders to define, implement, and support system integrations and transformations, ensuring that master data requirements are properly designed, tested, and validated.

Lead master data readiness assessments and enablement activities to support product launches, business scale-up, and new operational capabilities.

Advise leadership on data-related risks, trade-offs, and investment decisions, balancing regulatory constraints with business needs and system capabilities.

Promote a culture of data stewardship, ownership, and continuous improvement across Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Finance, Commercial, and IT functions.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related field with 8+ years of experience in Master Data Management, Data Governance, or Business Systems, with preferred experience in biotech, pharma, or medical device environments.

Demonstrated expertise in master data domains and data architecture, including material, vendor, and customer master structures and their interactions with transactional data across order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, and manufacturing processes.

Proven experience designing, implementing, and operating data governance and change management processes, including data governance frameworks, controlled data changes, impact assessments, and change control within regulated or GxP environments.

Strong systems and data proficiency with ERP, CRM, and PLM platforms, as well as querying tools such as SQL and Snowflake, and reporting and analysis tools such as Excel, Tableau, or Power BI.

Proven ability to lead through influence and manage cross-functional alignment among Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Finance, Commercial, and IT stakeholders, effectively bridging technical and business perspectives.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and execution skills, with a high attention to detail, and the ability to perform root cause analysis, drive process improvement, and operate effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Experience with GDP, SOPs, and ISO standards including ISO 27001, ISO 9001, and ISO 13485, and the ability to apply them to support audit readiness and regulatory compliance.

Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to articulate complex data concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
