About the role
EarnIn is actively searching for a Senior HRIS Analyst to manage and improve our Workday platform, focusing on Core HCM and Security. You will design scalable people systems and lead our transition toward AI-enabled, cross-system workflows. In this capacity, you will serve as the central technical resource for Workday configuration, ensuring that the system aligns with evolving business strategies. You will own the optimization of Core Human Capital Management processes and the governance of security architecture. The role requires a proactive approach to system improvements and the ability to foresee the implications of changes across the organization. You will leverage advanced reporting and automation to provide actionable insights into workforce data. Furthermore, you will utilize artificial intelligence tools to identify logic gaps and expedite the design of new system capabilities.

What you'll do
- Assume ownership of the configuration and optimization of Workday Core HCM and Security frameworks to ensure operational excellence.
- Architect and sustain business processes and system controls across the entire employee lifecycle from onboarding to offboarding.
- Oversee Workday security architecture, including the management of roles, domains, and permissions to maintain compliance and data protection.
- Safeguard data integrity and consistency between Workday and downstream financial systems through rigorous validation and reconciliation.
- Construct and maintain advanced reports, dashboards, and calculated fields to deliver real-time visibility into workforce metrics.
- Collaborate with Finance, IT, and People teams to translate complex business requirements into precise technical solutions.
- Develop comprehensive system documentation and leverage AI tools to identify logic gaps and accelerate the design process.
- Diagnose and resolve system issues while providing expert-level support for Workday integrations and data flows.
- Direct system enhancements, drive feature adoption, and establish testing strategies to ensure successful rollouts.
- Analyze business needs and convert them into detailed technical specifications that guide the development and configuration process.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to identify opportunities for automation and process improvement within Workday.
- Ensure that all system configurations adhere to internal policies, external regulations, and best practices for data management.
- Utilize advanced reporting capabilities to generate insights that support strategic decision-making across the organization.
- Act as a subject matter expert for Workday functionality, providing guidance and training to internal teams.
Requirements
- Possess 4 or more years of HRIS experience with deep expertise in Workday, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of the platform.
- Show proven configuration experience in Workday Core HCM and Security, with a track record of successful implementations.
- Demonstrate proficiency in Workday Business Process Framework and advanced reporting techniques to manipulate data effectively.
- Exhibit the ability to partner cross-functionally with People, Finance, and IT departments to achieve shared objectives.
- Have experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or ChatGPT to enhance productivity and problem-solving.
- Maintain strong analytical skills for translating complex business requirements into clear and actionable technical solutions.
- Commit to adhering to EarnIn's technology standards and data governance policies in all system design activities.
- Understand the importance of maintaining data security and privacy in all aspects of HRIS management.
Nice to have
- Bring experience with Advanced Compensation, Payroll, Talent/Performance modules, or Integrations (EIB, Studio, API) to broaden the scope of system support.
- Contribute background in global or matrixed organizations to handle complex organizational structures and reporting lines.
- Offer experience supporting major Workday implementations or system transformations to ensure smooth migration strategies.
- Hold a Bachelor degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, or a related field to support advanced technical responsibilities.
- Demonstrate experience designing workflows for the full employment lifecycle to ensure continuity and compliance.
