What you'll do

• Design and implement software applications using modern programming languages and frameworks to meet specific client requirements.
• Collaborate with product managers and other stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while following established coding standards and best practices.
• Conduct thorough testing of applications, including unit testing, integration testing, and performance testing, to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and performance issues in a timely manner, ensuring minimal disruption to users.
• Participate in code reviews to provide constructive feedback and ensure adherence to coding standards within the team.

• Collaborate with DevOps teams to streamline deployment processes and enhance the overall software development lifecycle.
• Engage in Agile methodologies, participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to continuously improve team performance.
• Assist in the evaluation and selection of third-party software and tools that can enhance the development process or improve product functionality.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in software development, with a strong focus on application design and implementation.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript, along with experience in relevant frameworks.
• Solid understanding of software development methodologies, particularly Agile and Scrum practices.
• Experience with version control systems, such as Git, and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and troubleshoot complex issues.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
• Familiarity with database management systems, such as SQL Server, MySQL, or MongoDB, and experience with data modeling.
• Knowledge of web technologies, including HTML, CSS, and RESTful APIs, is a plus.
• Security clearance or the ability to obtain one may be required for this position.

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
• Understanding of microservices architecture and its implementation in software solutions.
• Previous experience in a government or defense contracting environment is advantageous.
