DoubleVerify is in search of a Senior Manager to lead the PinAI team, which specializes in conversational artificial intelligence and agentic systems. In this role, you will spearhead the development of an AI-driven conversational interface for Pinnacle, significantly transforming how our Fortune 500 clients interact with their advertising data.

What you'll do

• Formulate and execute the technical strategy and roadmap for the PinAI team, ensuring it aligns with the overarching objectives of DoubleVerify.
• Supervise the design and architecture of agentic AI systems, leveraging the Model Context Protocol (MCP) to create scalable AI frameworks.
• Drive the innovation of conversational AI experiences that translate intricate analytics into intuitive, natural language interactions for users.
• Establish technical standards for AI and machine learning engineering, including frameworks for evaluation and metrics for model performance.
• Collaborate closely with Product, Data Science, and Architecture teams to transform business requirements into scalable AI solutions.
• Mentor and guide a team of engineers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
• Conduct regular assessments of team performance and project progress, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality solutions.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in AI technology, integrating relevant innovations into the PinAI strategy.

Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in software engineering, with a strong emphasis on developing large-scale production systems.
• At least 3 years of experience in leadership positions, managing teams of 5 to 10 engineers effectively.
• Direct experience with AI and machine learning systems, particularly in the realm of conversational AI and large language models (LLMs).
• Demonstrated success in guiding AI-powered products from initial concept through to production deployment.
• Profound understanding of agentic AI and LLM frameworks, such as LangChain and LangGraph.
• Familiarity with the Model Context Protocol (MCP) for the development of modular AI components.
• Strong experience in designing conversational AI systems and implementing natural language processing techniques.
• Proven track record in developing comprehensive evaluation systems for LLM applications.
• Proficiency in working with major LLM providers and open-source models.
• Backend development experience in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure) and containerization technologies (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Exceptional ability to design complex systems while adhering to best engineering practices.
• Strong communication skills, particularly in conveying technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience in building and developing high-performing engineering teams.
• Proven capability to deliver projects on time while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Strategic mindset that balances innovative ideas with practical execution.
• Strong skills in stakeholder management and influence.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, AI, or a related discipline (PhD preferred).

• Experience with prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation, and fine-tuning methodologies.
• Familiarity with tools for agent evaluation and responsible AI practices.
• Background in AdTech, analytics, or business intelligence sectors.
• Contributions to open-source AI projects or published research in the field of AI/ML.
• Experience with modern frontend frameworks for developing AI interfaces.
• Familiarity with analytics platforms such as Looker or Snowflake.
• A history of innovation and patents in the AI/ML space.
