About the role
DoorDash is seeking a Senior Product Manager to spearhead initiatives aimed at preventing fraud within its growing marketplace. This position involves overseeing either a dedicated fraud team focused on protecting consumers or a cross-functional platform team responsible for developing capabilities such as the Risk Engine, Data Signals Intelligence, and Automation/Anomaly Detection. As part of the rapidly evolving Trust and Safety division, this role plays a crucial part in enhancing the integrity of the platform for consumers, merchants, and delivery personnel.

What you'll do
- Establish a comprehensive long-term vision and product strategy for the assigned fraud vertical or platform team.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and maintain a customer-focused roadmap that aligns with operational needs, data science insights, analytics, design, and engineering efforts.
- Translate user requirements and internal specifications into precise functional and technical documents that are data-driven.
- Partner with data and engineering teams to define project scopes, refine technical strategies, and prioritize release schedules.
- Develop frameworks for instrumentation, monitoring, and evaluation to assess product performance and extract actionable insights.
- Create business cases that project return on investment (ROI) to inform prioritization and decision-making processes.
- Work alongside Finance and business leaders to assess and manage the impact of product decisions on profitability.
- Lead initiatives that ensure the alignment of product strategies with company-wide objectives, maintaining clear communication across various teams.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by leveraging data and analytics to refine product offerings and operational processes.
- Exercise independent judgment and discretion in evaluating options and determining the best course of action in complex situations.
- Manage stakeholder expectations effectively, demonstrating persistence in maintaining alignment on strategic decisions.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in product management within the technology sector.
- At least 3 years of experience in areas related to Integrity, Trust & Safety, or Fraud prevention.
- Proven ability to set a strategic vision and effectively execute tactical plans for a specific product area.
- Experience with agile methodologies and a track record of managing iterative delivery and short release cycles.
- Strong analytical skills with a data-oriented mindset focused on continuous improvement.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate efforts across multiple teams to achieve company-wide goals.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks independently.
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field focused on data.
- Comfort in exercising discretion and independent judgment when making decisions.
