Job description

About the role
Senior Associate, Sales Strategy & Operations, Commerce Platform
This role exists to ensure the success and expansion of DoorDash's Digital Ordering offering. You will serve as a key operator, transforming high-level strategic mandates into concrete, measurable sales outcomes. Your primary focus will be the performance and growth of the Digital Ordering portfolio, where you will act as a bridge between strategic vision and on-the-ground execution. Success in this position requires a rare blend of analytical depth and operational discipline, allowing you to identify gaps, drive closure, and build a scalable revenue engine.
Translating Vision into Actionable Sales Outcomes
You will be responsible for designing and managing the sales plan for Digital Ordering. This involves translating corporate objectives into specific, actionable quarterly sales targets. Your work will center on understanding the performance of our key markets, tracking progress against critical growth drivers, and ensuring the team maintains a consistent pace of expansion. You will own the metrics that matter, constantly analyzing performance to understand what is working and where adjustments are necessary. This is a hands-on role where your analysis directly informs the team's daily and weekly activities.
Building and Maintaining Operational Excellence
Operational rigor is central to this position. You will establish and maintain the governance rhythms needed for a high-performing sales organization. This includes structuring and leading Weekly Business Reviews, where you will ensure that every lead, opportunity, and deal is tracked with precision. Your goal is to create a predictable and reliable sales process. You will own the systems and checklists that keep the team aligned, ensuring no opportunity falls through the cracks and that all activities are measured against clear standards.
Driving Efficiency Through Technology and AI
A core part of your contribution will be improving the efficiency of the sales team. You will identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement within the sales funnel, then implement the tooling and system updates needed to boost productivity. This is where your innovative mindset comes into play. You will explore and pilot current AI tools designed to amplify sales productivity and outreach effectiveness. By integrating these technologies, you will help the team work smarter, not harder, freeing them to focus on high-value customer interactions.
Enabling Merchant Success and Product Collaboration
You will work closely with the Product and Analytics teams to turn research and insights into a tangible revenue strategy. Your role involves shipping the enablement assets that power our commerce platform. A key example of this is supporting merchants who wish to host commission-free ordering on their own websites, allowing them to own their customer relationships while leveraging DoorDash's logistics and technology. You will review performance data to surface insights that refine our sales playbooks, providing the feedback loop needed to guide product development and go-to-market strategy. This cross-functional collaboration ensures that our solutions are built and sold with maximum impact.
Your Background and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must bring a proven ability to execute in complex, fast-moving environments. You have 2+ years of experience in sales business planning, strategy, operations, consulting, or analytics. Your track record demonstrates an ability to drive cross-functional initiatives and hit ambitious goals against tight deadlines.
A bachelor's degree or higher is required, and you must possess strong analytical judgment. Your background should include a high level of comfort with data; you rely on SQL and Excel to dissect complex datasets and deliver actionable recommendations. Salesforce experience is a significant asset.
Compensation and Location
The base salary for this role ranges from $129,600.00 to $191,000.00 per year. This compensation is determined based on factors such as skills, experience, qualifications, and work location. Equity grants may also be part of the total compensation package. This position is open in the United States, with remote work available from locations including New York, NY; Washington D.C.; Los Angeles, CA; San Francisco, CA; Chicago, IL; Denver, CO; and Seattle, WA.
