Doctolib is seeking fullstack engineers to join product teams in Paris and contribute to healthcare solutions used by millions across Europe. In this role, you will own the end to end delivery of features that impact patients and medical professionals in clinical and administrative workflows. You will translate complex requirements into robust technical solutions while collaborating closely with product managers and designers. The position requires a strong commitment to code quality, security, and performance in a regulated environment. You will work with JVM based technologies and modern frontend frameworks to build responsive and reliable applications. Your responsibilities will include refining technical architecture through collaboration with other engineers and ensuring best practices for testing and maintainability. What you'll do
- Partner with product managers and designers to define and implement features for healthcare users across multiple touchpoints.
- Develop fullstack applications using a technology stack that emphasizes security, performance, and usability in production environments.
- Write and maintain tests to ensure code quality and stability, following rigorous standards before merging changes.
- Review peer code to identify risks, improve design, and share knowledge across the engineering community.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to evolve our technical architecture and streamline development practices.
- Implement user interface components that deliver intuitive and responsive experiences for clinicians and patients.
- Integrate backend services with frontend applications, ensuring efficient data flow and secure API communications.
- Troubleshoot production issues by analyzing logs, reproducing bugs, and applying fixes with minimal disruption to users.
- Contribute to documentation that supports both developers and stakeholders in understanding system behavior.
- Participate in codebase refactoring to reduce technical debt and improve long term maintainability.
- Work within agile processes to plan iterations, deliver incremental value, and adapt to evolving requirements.
- Leverage AI tools that provide specialized coding assistance to accelerate development and reduce repetitive tasks.
- Monitor application behavior to detect regressions and ensure reliability for critical healthcare workflows.
- Support continuous improvement of development pipelines to increase efficiency and developer satisfaction.
Requirements
- Possess professional experience as a fullstack engineer with demonstrated work in both frontend and backend domains.
- Demonstrate proficiency in React for building user interfaces and the JVM ecosystem including Java and Spring Boot.
- Show a user-centric approach that prioritizes patient and clinician needs during the design and implementation of features.
- Commit to writing secure code that follows industry best practices and addresses potential vulnerabilities.
- Ensure all solutions include appropriate testing to validate functionality and prevent regressions.
- Adopt a pragmatic mindset when making technical decisions, balancing idealism with delivery constraints.
- Exhibit a proactive attitude by taking ownership of problems and proposing improvements to existing systems.
- Engage actively in knowledge sharing sessions and pair programming to elevate the skill level of the team.
- Have experience collaborating in agile environments with frequent releases and iterative development cycles.
- Understand the importance of maintaining high availability and performance standards for healthcare applications.
