What you'll do
- Architect and maintain a scalable design system using React and React Native, ensuring consistency and performance across platforms.
- Drive the convergence of web and mobile design systems, eliminating discrepancies and delivering unified user experiences.
- Mentor engineers on React Native best practices, sharing knowledge to elevate the entire team's mobile development capabilities.
- Partner with product designers to translate Figma mockups into robust, reusable UI components that meet both aesthetic and functional requirements.
- Embed accessibility standards such as WCAG and ARIA into every component, guaranteeing compliance and usability for all users.
- Leverage AI tools to develop automation scripts, migration pathways, and intelligent developer assistants that improve productivity.
- Provide clear documentation, usage guidelines, and continuous feedback to internal teams, enabling them to use the design system effectively.
- Optimize build processes, scripts, and CI workflows to reduce friction and accelerate delivery of high-quality frontend releases.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders to prioritize features, resolve technical debt, and align development with product goals.
- Act as a quality champion by implementing testing strategies, code reviews, and performance benchmarks for all frontend artifacts.
- Contribute to the definition of long-term technical vision for the design system, balancing innovation with stability and scalability.
- Support the maintenance and evolution of existing components, ensuring backward compatibility and smooth transitions for consuming teams.
Requirements
- Bring more than 5 years of hands-on engineering experience, with a proven track record of delivering production-grade software.
- Demonstrate deep expertise in React Native, including a history of shipping mobile applications that are stable and performant.
- Show advanced proficiency in React and TypeScript, with a clear understanding of the nuances between web and mobile development.
- Have substantial experience designing and implementing design system architecture in a component-driven development environment.
- Apply strong knowledge of accessibility best practices, including semantic HTML, ARIA roles, and testing with assistive technologies.
- Communicate effectively in English, enabling clear collaboration with international teams and stakeholders.
- Maintain a strict commitment to code quality, automated testing, and sustainable product development practices.

Practical notes
This position is based in France, with work locations in Levallois, Nantes, and Paris. The role operates on a full-time, permanent engagement, requiring availability during standard business hours. Candidates must be eligible to work in France without sponsorship, as the company cannot provide visa support for this position. The interview process includes a recruiter conversation, a practical feature-building exercise, a system design session, and a behavioral assessment. The expected start date is as soon as possible, allowing for a smooth transition and early contribution to active projects. Flexible arrangements include up to 10 days of remote work from abroad per year and up to 14 days of RTT leave.
