Lead Customer Marketing Manager
Job description
LEAD CUSTOMER MARKETING MANAGER
DeepL seeks a Lead Customer Marketing Manager to own the narrative engine that transforms customer proof into demand fuel. This role designs end-to-end workflows from intake to partner delivery, ensuring every asset carries verified impact. Your work will shape how global buyers perceive DeepL in action. You will operate at the intersection of storytelling, process rigor, and strategic execution. The position is based in London and requires full-time engagement during standard office hours. Travel within regions may occur for customer interviews and partner activities. Visa sponsorship is available for eligible candidates. Compensation ranges from 95,000 GBP to 130,000 GBP per year.
LEAD CUSTOMER MARKETING MANAGER
You will orchestrate intake sessions where field teams surface raw customer wins. These sessions feed a structured story architecture that turns sales nominations into launch-ready proof. You will direct reference creation so named cases serve multiple channels simultaneously. Coordination with legal and brand teams will clear assets for fast, compliant shipping. You will ship customer assets aligned with campaigns, events, and product launches. The role requires you to build partner enablement materials that keep advocacy consistent across regions. You will maintain permissions and version control so stories remain current and compliant. Measurement of impact is central, as you track how references shorten sales cycles and lift deal closure rates. Every activity will be tied to clear business outcomes.
Your primary mission is to amplify customer success by extracting stories from support tickets, sales nominations, deal wins, and win-loss interviews. You will select the few stories that deserve to become marquee narratives, including blue-chip testimonials, video features, and event-ready assets. Named case studies and quantified proof points will demonstrate DeepL's AI doing real work in real businesses. You will put real customers on the world stage through press interviews, webinars, keynotes, and the Customer Advisory Board advocacy track. You will recommend speakers and agree on narratives in advance, ensuring each appearance delivers impact beyond the event itself. Sales and Customer Success will rely on you when a deal needs a reference. You will know which customers will speak, what they will discuss, and how recently each was approached. Sales enablement will build seller tools, and you will supply the customers and the proof embedded within them. You will share stories while they remain timely, publishing them alongside the launch, event, or campaign to which they belong. Ownership of the run from interview to live asset is central, including legal and brand engagement. You will keep customer permissions current so that nothing sits waiting. Your work will ensure that stories are discoverable, reusable, and aligned with DeepL's global messaging.
LEAD CUSTOMER MARKETING MANAGER
You will bring proven success in B2B marketing over many years, with a track record of customer stories that engaged buyers and moved deals. A bias for action will define your approach, as you clear obstacles without waiting for direction. When a step is slow, you will automate before escalating, with AI already embedded in your workflow rather than on a wishlist. Genuine curiosity about a customer's business problem will drive your storytelling instinct. You will extract the narrative from complexity and present it with clarity. Customer-facing polish will allow you to operate comfortably from first discovery call through to launch. Strategic judgement will guide you in mapping advocacy output to priorities and backing the right stories. Operational rigor will ensure that production, approvals, and permissions processes remain fast and reliable.
MEASURES OF SUCCESS
Success in the first twelve months will be defined by tangible outcomes. You will deliver new marquee stories that the field, brand, and events teams all draw upon. Named case studies will cover every region, product line, and priority vertical. Reference requests will be resolved within the agreed turnaround time. Assets will publish in the same window as the launch or event to which they belong. Clear evidence will show that deals using customer references close at a better rate.
