What you'll do
- Design and implement comprehensive technical marketing strategies for the security product line, guiding initiatives from initial product launches through to widespread adoption.
- Collaborate with product teams, sales engineers, and enablement personnel to establish clear messaging, influence product roadmaps, and create cohesive solution narratives that highlight the value of our offerings.
- Develop a variety of sales materials, including battlecards, competitive analysis workshops, investigation workflows, and guides for handling objections effectively.
- Conduct market analysis to inform competitive strategies, ensuring Datadog's position is strong within the cloud-native security landscape.
- Act as a technical expert, providing mentorship to field teams, reviewing marketing content, and shaping internal strategies to enhance our market presence.
- Serve as a representative for Datadog in various forums, including webinars, customer briefings, and industry conferences, effectively communicating our value proposition.
- Engage with customers to gather feedback and insights, which will inform product enhancements and marketing strategies.
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to adapt marketing strategies and maintain a competitive edge in the security domain.
Requirements
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in roles such as product management, technical product marketing, solutions engineering, or developer relations, specifically within the security or cloud sectors.
- Proven technical knowledge in at least one area, including cloud-native infrastructure (like Kubernetes), security operations, threat detection, incident response, compliance, or data privacy.
- A portfolio showcasing your ability to create technical content, which may include demos, training materials, diagrams, or technical blogs that illustrate your expertise.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to a variety of audiences and influence cross-functional go-to-market strategies effectively.
- A strategic mindset focused on achieving measurable outcomes and driving business impact through your marketing initiatives.
- Experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams to align marketing efforts with product development and sales strategies.
