This internship offers an opportunity to join a high-growth enterprise technology company at the intersection of data and AI. You will work within product teams to solve complex customer challenges while receiving guidance from a dedicated manager and two mentors. In this role, you will analyze customer problem spaces to define viable solutions that align with strategic business goals. You will prototype and test concepts with customers and engineers to validate direction and refine product-market fit. The position requires collaboration with designers and engineers to ship features on the Databricks platform in a reliable and scalable manner. You will manage projects from design through launch and iteration, ensuring alignment with stakeholder expectations. The role emphasizes making data-driven decisions using product usage analytics to inform roadmap priorities. You will develop a strong interest in solving ambiguous problems within a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

What you'll do

- Communicate complex topics clearly to customers, engineers, and field teams to ensure shared understanding and alignment.
- Explore ambiguous problems within a collaborative environment to uncover innovative solutions and new opportunities.
- Support the AI Platform, Genie, Machine Learning, Unity Catalog, Databricks SQL, ETL, Streaming, and EDA teams in their product initiatives.
- Conduct user research and synthesize findings to inform product requirements and feature specifications.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to identify pain points and translate them into actionable product strategies.
- Iterate on product designs based on feedback and performance metrics to continuously improve outcomes.
- Document product decisions and rationale to ensure transparency and knowledge sharing across teams.
- Contribute to the development of long-term product vision while focusing on immediate execution priorities.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a related engineering field.
- Expected graduation date in Fall 2027 or Spring 2028.
- Experience using AI tools for development projects and personal productivity to demonstrate practical application.
- Practical experience with Python and/or SQL to analyze data and build prototypes.
- Ability to make data-driven decisions using product usage analytics to guide product strategies.
- Strong communication skills to explain complex topics to customers, engineers, and field teams effectively.
- Interest in solving ambiguous problems within a collaborative environment to drive innovation and teamwork.
- Eligibility to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship for this internship position.
- Enrollment in a degree program is required throughout the duration of the internship.
- Availability to commit to a full-time schedule for the duration of the 12-week internship period.

Practical notes
- Pay range: $54 to $56 per hour for San Francisco and Mountain View locations; $51.50 to $53.50 per hour for Bellevue.
- Compensation may include eligibility for performance bonuses and equity.
