What you'll do
- Develop and deliver high-quality production systems, which include custom applications, data ingestion pipelines, and the integration of machine learning and AI models.
- Lead strategic customers through the entire lifecycle of large-scale data and AI initiatives, from design to deployment.
- Serve as the main technical authority on architecture, ensuring that solutions are scalable, secure, and adhere to industry best practices.
- Collaborate with project managers and architects to clearly define project scope and ensure timely delivery of solutions.
- Provide actionable feedback on products to engineering and support teams to address specific engagement challenges.
- Create reusable frameworks and accelerators that can influence the product roadmap and extend impact across multiple accounts.
- Work closely with customer teams to identify technical hurdles and drive measurable business results.
- Conduct training sessions and workshops for clients to enhance their understanding of data and AI systems.
- Monitor and analyze system performance to ensure optimal operation and identify areas for improvement.
- Participate in the continuous improvement of internal processes and methodologies to enhance service delivery.
- Engage in knowledge sharing and mentorship within the team to foster a collaborative environment.
- Utilize advanced problem-solving skills to troubleshoot complex issues in real-time during client engagements.
- Translate intricate technical concepts into clear narratives for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Partner with sales teams to develop compelling technical narratives that support new business acquisition.
Requirements
- A minimum of 6 years of experience in software engineering, data platforms, or data engineering.
- Strong programming skills in Python, Scala, or JavaScript/TypeScript, along with familiarity with modern development frameworks.
- In-depth knowledge of distributed computing, particularly the internals of Apache Spark.
- Practical experience with MLOps, AI APIs, and the implementation of machine learning and AI models.
- Familiarity with CI/CD practices for production environments.
- Proven ability to design and implement efficient, end-to-end data architectures.
- Excellent project management capabilities, including the ability to manage project scope, timelines, and stakeholder expectations effectively.
- Strong skills in white-boarding and technical documentation to convey complex concepts clearly.
- Willingness to travel to client sites approximately 20% of the time.
- Valid Databricks Certification is required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain necessary security clearances and comply with export control regulations.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring employer sponsorship for this role.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with at least two cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), with significant expertise in one of them.
- Experience in the Healthcare and Life Sciences sector is a plus.
- Knowledge of data governance and compliance standards relevant to the industry.

Compensation: The salary range for this position is between $182,000 and $250,208 USD, depending on experience and qualifications. Total compensation may also include annual performance bonuses and equity options.
