About the role
Join the 2027 Associate Product Manager cohort to build and refine the data and AI infrastructure used by global organizations. You will work alongside dedicated mentors, engineers, and designers to solve complex technical challenges across the platform. In this capacity, you will own specific features within the AI Platform, contributing directly to the evolution of Genie, Machine Learning, Unity Catalog, Databricks SQL, ETL, Streaming, and EDA. The role requires you to identify customer pain points and translate them into clear requirements for effective technical solutions that align with the platform vision. You will be responsible for prototyping and validating new concepts with both customers and engineering teams before any full-scale development begins. Collaboration forms the core of the position, as you will partner cross-functionally to design, build, launch, and iterate on features that impact millions of users. You will manage individual projects from conception through delivery, ensuring that execution meets high standards for usability and reliability. Ultimately, you will prioritize platform scalability, security, and quality in every feature you touch, ensuring the infrastructure supports the next generation of data and AI workloads.

What you'll do
- Conduct user interviews and analyze support tickets to uncover customer pain points that inform the product roadmap.
- Translate ambiguous business goals into concrete product requirements that guide engineering implementation.
- Build interactive prototypes to validate concepts with customers and gather feedback before committing to major development efforts.
- Partner closely with engineers and designers to turn validated ideas into production-ready features.
- Own the end-to-end management of individual projects, tracking progress and adjusting plans as new information emerges.
- Define and monitor product metrics to assess feature performance and drive data-informed decisions.
- Write clear documentation that explains functionality to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Evaluate competitive products and industry trends to identify opportunities for differentiation and improvement.
- Ensure every feature adheres to strict standards for platform scalability, security, and overall quality.
- Facilitate alignment sessions between stakeholders to ensure shared understanding and agreement on priorities.
- Support the testing process by creating test plans and validating fixes before public releases.
- Iterate on existing features based on user feedback and performance data, optimizing for better outcomes over time.
- Contribute to the technical discussions that shape the long-term vision of the data and AI platform.
- Mentor junior team members by sharing best practices in product management and data analysis.
- Represent the customer perspective in executive communications to ensure strategic alignment with market needs.
Requirements
- You will graduate in Fall 2026 or Spring 2027 with a bachelor or master degree in computer science or a related engineering field.
- You must possess practical experience using AI tools for development or personal productivity in your recent work or studies.
- You must demonstrate hands-on proficiency with Python and/or SQL in real-world projects or academic settings.
- You must show the ability to analyze product usage data to inform decision-making and measure success.
- You must have strong communication skills to explain technical nuances clearly to engineers, customers, and internal stakeholders.
- You must exhibit an aptitude for solving ambiguous problems while thriving in a collaborative environment with diverse viewpoints.
- You must be eligible to work in the country where the position is located without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
