Software Engineering Manager
Job description
About the role
You will own the end-to-end delivery lifecycle for a single flagship brand inside the CSC Generation portfolio, coordinating intake, construction, validation, and release activities from initial concept to customer availability. You will enforce Genesis platform standards to ensure that every commerce experience remains reliable, interpretable, and responsive to shifting market demand across multiple labels under the portfolio umbrella. You will translate vague demand from product and operations teams into clear, testable hypotheses for our digital offerings, designing detailed build plans that coordinate multiple agile squads. You will define specific milestones and map dependencies across data pipelines, automation workflows, and tooling infrastructure hosted on Genesis infrastructure to maintain coherent execution. You will lead review rituals where engineers, designers, and business stakeholders assess outcomes, surfacing risks early and adjusting implementation tactics to keep the delivery train on schedule. You will manage the shipping of releases through coordinated deployment pipelines, monitoring vital health signals in production, and coordinating rollback strategies to protect critical customer journeys and brand integrity. You will collaborate with analytics and commercial teams to interpret performance signals, refine ongoing experiments, and guide future investments in platform capabilities based on observed business impact. You will translate executive expectations into concrete engineering roadmaps, balancing brand-specific needs with reusable components from Genesis to maximize efficiency and coherence across the portfolio.
