About the role
You will architect the analytical backbone of our enterprise, establishing the frameworks that turn raw data into strategic direction. You own the end-to-end lifecycle of analytics, from initial hypothesis and data discovery through to insight articulation and measurable business impact. You will define and own the key performance indicators that matter, creating a common language for success across all departments. You will act as the central authority on data integrity, setting the standards by which every team measures truth and reliability. You will pioneer the responsible integration of AI and advanced modeling to augment human decision-making at scale. You will translate complex analytical findings into clear narratives and actionable roadmaps for executives and operators alike. You will build and mentor a high-caliber analytics community, elevating the rigor and influence of data-driven thinking across the organization. You will partner closely with the Senior Director of Ecommerce to shape the future of our digital strategy and execution.

What you'll do
Architect and govern the enterprise data strategy, defining standards, definitions, and taxonomies to ensure consistency and trust.
Lead the development and optimization of advanced analytics models, leveraging AI to forecast demand, personalize customer experiences, and optimize marketing mix.
Champion a culture of evidence-based decision-making by designing intuitive dashboards, tools, and data products for cross-functional stakeholders.
Partner with Marketing to analyze campaign performance, attributing impact across channels and quantifying the true return on investment.
Collaborate with Operations and Inventory Planning to build predictive models that optimize stock levels, reduce waste, and improve fulfillment efficiency.
Work alongside Finance to develop rigorous financial analytics, supporting pricing strategies, margin management, and profitability analysis.
Translate ambiguous business problems into structured analytical approaches, guiding stakeholders from question to insight to implementation.
Establish data governance protocols, ensuring compliance, security, and the ethical use of artificial intelligence across all business units.
Elevate the organization's analytical maturity by documenting methodologies, creating reusable assets, and scaling best practices.
Serve as the primary liaison between technical teams and business leaders, ensuring that analytical solutions are practical, scalable, and impactful.
Drive the continuous improvement of the analytics stack, evaluating new tools and technologies to maintain a competitive edge.
Champion the use of experimentation and A/B testing to validate initiatives and drive continuous optimization of digital experiences.
Foster collaboration between eCommerce, Retail, Marketing, and Operations to break down silos and enable enterprise-wide insights.
Mentor and develop junior analysts, building a strong talent pipeline and fostering a collaborative, high-performance team environment.
Requirements
You possess a Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
You bring a minimum of eight years of progressive experience in analytics, data science, or a related analytical role, with a proven track record of delivering impact at scale.
You have deep expertise in SQL and data querying, demonstrating the ability to write complex queries and manipulate large datasets with precision.
You are highly proficient in a programming language such as Python or R, using these tools to clean, analyze, and model data to solve complex business problems.
You have extensive experience with statistical analysis, experimental design, and modeling techniques to derive insights and inform strategic decisions.
You have a strong background in e-commerce analytics, having worked with key metrics such as conversion rate, customer lifetime value, and acquisition performance.
You demonstrate mastery of data visualization tools and platforms, creating clear, compelling, and actionable dashboards for diverse audiences.
You have hands-on experience with modern data platforms, warehouses, and cloud ecosystems, understanding how data flows through the enterprise.
You possess a strong understanding of data governance, privacy, and security principles, ensuring that analytics practices align with corporate standards.
Nice to have
Experience with AI and machine learning platforms, including prompt engineering and the responsible deployment of large language models.
A background in retail or commerce environments, with familiarity of omnichannel customer journeys and inventory optimization.
Proficiency in coding languages such as Java for data engineering tasks.
Experience with marketing attribution modeling and multi-touch analytics.
Knowledge of financial principles and P&L ownership within a retail context.

This is a full-time remote position based in Ontario.
