What you'll do

• Provide area-level leadership across multiple concurrent construction projects, ensuring alignment to program goals, budgets, and schedules.
• Drive standardization, consistency, and best practices across cost management, scheduling, change management, risk management, and reporting.
• Lead and manage a team of cost managers responsible for monthly cost reporting, cash flow forecasting, change and risk management, pay application review, and client billing submissions.
• Assess overall cost and schedule health across an area or program, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities early to protect project outcomes.
• Develop and communicate clear, actionable financial and schedule insights to senior leadership and Crusoe clients through concise reporting and recommendations.
• Manage critical deliverables and performance of onsite vendors providing cost management and scheduling services, ensuring quality and timeliness.
• Support program-level governance by ensuring accurate, timely, and consistent reporting across all projects in the assigned area.
• Partner cross-functionally with construction, engineering, procurement, and leadership teams to support successful project execution and resolve emerging issues.
• Implement and refine controls that improve predictability, transparency, and decision-making across the project lifecycle.
• Champion continuous improvement by evaluating tools, processes, and data structures that enhance the accuracy and utility of project controls.
• Mentor and develop cost control professionals, fostering a high-performance culture grounded in accountability and collaboration.
• Proactively escalate risks and mitigation strategies, coordinating with stakeholders to maintain alignment and avoid costly delays.
• Ensure compliance with internal standards and external contractual requirements, safeguarding the integrity of financial and schedule baselines.
• Act as the primary point of escalation for complex cost and schedule issues, guiding resolution through structured analysis and stakeholder engagement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
• 12+ years of experience in Project Controls and Construction Cost Management within large-scale construction or infrastructure environments.
• Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects with area- or program-level accountability and cross-functional stakeholder engagement.
• Proven leadership of program- or area-wide initiatives focused on standardization, process improvement, and performance optimization.
• Advanced financial and analytical skills, with the ability to evaluate cost and schedule performance holistically and anticipate impacts before they escalate.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for senior leaders and clients.
• Experience leading teams and managing external vendors delivering cost and scheduling services in fast-paced, high-stakes settings.
• Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, large-scale construction environments where priorities evolve rapidly and precision is essential.
• Demonstrated track record of using project controls tools, databases, and reporting frameworks to maintain visibility and drive decisions.
• Willingness to travel as required to support project sites, client meetings, and cross-functional reviews across Crusoe's operational areas.
• Commitment to upholding the highest standards of integrity, safety, and collaboration in support of Crusoe's mission.
• Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship for this role.
• Full professional driver's license required due to the operational nature of project visits.

Practical notes

Compensation will be paid in the range of $225,000 - $250,000. Restricted Stock Units are included in all offers. Compensation is determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. You must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship. Travel is required to support project sites, client meetings, and cross-functional reviews.
