What you'll do

Design and implement robust backend services and APIs that serve as the foundation for customer-facing applications.

Build and optimize data storage solutions leveraging Postgres, ClickHouse, and Elasticsearch to manage large-scale, real-time analytical queries efficiently.

Collaborate closely with frontend engineers, data scientists, and machine learning engineers to deliver complete end-to-end solutions that meet business objectives.

Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize performance issues within distributed systems and database environments to ensure high availability.

Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code that adheres to established backend development best practices and coding standards.

Participate actively in code reviews, testing initiatives, and continuous integration pipelines to uphold software quality.

Ensure backend services are secure, scalable, and reliable under varying loads and operational conditions.

Analyze existing system architecture to identify performance bottlenecks and propose improvements focused on scaling and security.

Implement observability practices to gain insights into system behavior and support rapid issue resolution.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Backend Engineer with a strong focus on database design and system architecture in production environments.

Strong expertise in ClickHouse or similar columnar databases for managing large-scale, real-time analytical queries with high concurrency.

Hands-on experience with Elasticsearch for indexing, searching, and analyzing large datasets in near real-time.

Proficient in backend programming languages such as Python and Go, with a demonstrated ability to build services with these languages.

Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs that are intuitive, scalable, and well-documented.

Solid understanding of distributed systems, microservices architecture, and deployment patterns in cloud environments.

Experience with performance tuning, data modeling, and query optimization across multiple database technologies.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail when diagnosing complex issues in backend systems.

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.

Ability to work independently and take ownership of technical decisions and delivery outcomes.
