Platform Product Manager
Job description
About the Role
This position centers on owning and evolving the foundational platform capabilities of the enterprise AI system, beginning with Identity and Access Management, or IAM. The role exists at the core of how the platform scales, defining who can access what, how systems integrate, and how customers operate securely and reliably across complex environments. You will be responsible for translating ambiguous platform challenges into concrete, shipped capabilities that enable enterprise teams to operate effectively. This is an opportunity for a technically fluent individual who is accountable and eager to shape foundational systems in partnership with architects and builders. You will work closely with cross-functional groups to align product decisions with security, compliance, and long-term platform strategy. You will own the end to end lifecycle of platform features, ensuring that requirements are translated into precise specifications that engineering can execute against with clarity. You will act as the central point for decision making on platform behavior, resolving conflicts between competing needs while maintaining a coherent vision for the future. You will establish the guardrails that allow other product teams to move quickly without compromising the integrity of the shared infrastructure.
Key Facts
Location is within the United States and operates remotely. The engagement is full time. Compensation ranges from $180,000 to $260,000 USD per year.
What You'll Do
You will design identity workflows so that access control patterns align with real-world usage across multiple channels. You will define the platform roadmap by balancing customer demands, security constraints, and future scalability needs. You will guide engineering teams through technical tradeoffs to deliver reliable authentication and authorization features. You will enable Solution Architects by providing clear configuration guidance and deployment patterns for complex environments. You will coordinate with HRIS and CCaaS systems to ensure provisioning and access rules remain consistent and auditable. You will break ambiguous problems into structured workstreams that keep multiple teams aligned without hindering momentum. You will translate platform capabilities into practical guidance for customer-facing teams during rollout and implementation. You will extend shared platform foundations beyond IAM as new integration opportunities and priorities arise. You will partner with implementation teams to validate integrations and resolve operational issues in production. You will support auditability and control frameworks so enterprise customers can operate with confidence. You will analyze usage data and feedback to prioritize enhancements that improve platform adoption and reliability. You will collaborate with security engineers to ensure that authentication flows meet the highest standards for enterprise risk management. You will communicate product decisions and rationale clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You will contribute to the architectural review process to ensure that platform investments remain scalable and maintainable.
Requirements
You bring three or more years of experience managing products or technical programs within complex environments. You are comfortable discussing APIs, system behavior, and architecture with engineering professionals while understanding technical constraints. You make timely product judgments even when problems span multiple systems and areas of responsibility. You follow through on commitments and maintain a bias toward action when outcomes remain uncertain. You collaborate effectively with security, implementation, and customer-facing teams, particularly under pressure. You are able to synthesize feedback from diverse stakeholders and translate it into a clear product strategy. You demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills when articulating complex platform concepts. You are proactive in identifying potential risks and dependencies before they impact delivery timelines. You are comfortable working asynchronously across different time zones and cultural contexts. You are passionate about building systems that enable other teams to be successful.
Nice to have
Prior work with identity systems, access models, or provisioning workflows is valued. Hands-on engineering background or deep experience interacting with technical platforms is a bonus.
Practical notes
The role is full time. The position is remote within the United States.
