What you'll do
- Lead the product lifecycle from ideation through development, launch, and ongoing iteration, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, design, and marketing teams to create a cohesive product strategy that enhances user experience and drives customer satisfaction.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, customer pain points, and opportunities for product differentiation.
- Develop and maintain a product roadmap that outlines key features, timelines, and milestones, ensuring transparency and alignment across stakeholders.
- Gather and prioritize product requirements from various stakeholders, including customers, sales teams, and executives, to inform product development.
- Utilize data analytics and user feedback to assess product performance and make informed decisions on feature enhancements and new product initiatives.
- Facilitate cross-functional meetings and workshops to foster collaboration and ensure all teams are aligned on product vision and objectives.
- Act as the primary point of contact for product-related inquiries and provide regular updates to stakeholders on product status and future plans.
- Mentor and guide junior product team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the team.
- Champion a customer-centric approach in product development, ensuring that user needs and experiences are at the forefront of decision-making.
- Collaborate with compliance and legal teams to ensure that all products meet regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation within the product portfolio.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in product management, preferably within the technology or insurance sectors.
- Proven track record of successfully launching and managing software products throughout their lifecycle.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable product strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and familiarity with tools such as JIRA or Trello for project management.
- A deep understanding of user experience design principles and best practices.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.
Nice to have
- Experience in the insurtech industry or a related field is a plus.
- Familiarity with data analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Mixpanel, or similar platforms.
- Knowledge of UX/UI design tools like Figma or Sketch.
- Previous experience mentoring or leading a product team.
- An MBA or relevant advanced degree is advantageous.
Skills & tools
- Proficiency in product management software and tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Aha!).
- Strong understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
- Familiarity with user research techniques and usability testing.
- Excellent presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
- Competence in data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau).
