What you'll do
- Develop and implement financial strategies that align with Covu's overall business objectives, ensuring sustainable growth and profitability.
- Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, to provide insights into the company's financial performance.
- Lead budgeting and forecasting processes, collaborating with department heads to ensure accurate financial planning and resource allocation.
- Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including investors, auditors, and financial institutions, to support the company's financial health and strategic initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards, implementing robust internal controls to mitigate risks and safeguard company assets.
- Drive the financial planning and analysis (FP&A) function, providing actionable insights to the executive team to inform decision-making.
- Mentor and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth within the department.
- Evaluate and optimize the company's capital structure, exploring opportunities for financing and investment to support growth initiatives.
- Collaborate with the executive team to assess potential mergers, acquisitions, and partnerships, providing financial due diligence and strategic recommendations.
- Monitor industry trends and economic conditions to identify potential risks and opportunities that could impact the company's financial performance.
- Implement financial systems and tools that enhance reporting accuracy and operational efficiency, leveraging technology to streamline processes.
- Communicate financial performance and strategic initiatives to the board of directors and other stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment on financial goals.
Requirements
- A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role, preferably as a CFO or in a similar capacity.
- Proven track record of managing financial operations in a technology-driven environment, with a strong understanding of SaaS business models.
- Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and translate it into actionable strategies.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with experience in building and managing high-performing finance teams.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present financial information to a diverse audience.
- A deep understanding of financial regulations, compliance, and best practices in financial management.
- Proficiency in financial software and tools, with experience in implementing and optimizing financial systems.
- A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; an MBA or CPA designation is highly preferred.
