What you'll do

Collaborate with software engineers and product managers to gather information and understand technical concepts that need to be documented.
Create and maintain user manuals, installation guides, and FAQs that are user-friendly and accessible to various audiences.
Write clear and concise content for the company's website, including product descriptions and blog posts that highlight the latest technologies and trends.
Edit and proofread existing documentation to ensure accuracy and clarity, making necessary updates as products evolve.
Assist in developing content for marketing campaigns, including social media posts, newsletters, and promotional materials that resonate with target audiences.
Participate in brainstorming sessions to generate ideas for new content and improve existing materials based on user feedback and analytics.
Conduct research on industry best practices and competitor content to ensure that Bamboohr remains at the forefront of technical communication.

Requirements

Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, or a related field.
Strong writing and editing skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to convey complex information in a simple manner.
Familiarity with technical concepts and a willingness to learn about new technologies and tools.
Basic understanding of content management systems and digital publishing platforms.
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams.

Nice to have

Previous experience in technical writing, content creation, or a related field, even if through academic projects or internships.
Knowledge of SEO principles and how they apply to content writing.
Familiarity with graphic design tools or software, such as Adobe Creative Suite, to create visuals that complement written content.

Skills & tools

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides).
Familiarity with Markdown or HTML for formatting web content.
Experience with project management tools like Trello, Asana, or similar platforms to track progress and deadlines.
Basic understanding of analytics tools to measure content performance and user engagement.
