About the role
Clutch Technologies Inc.. is looking for a Senior Manager, Procurement to lead the company's sourcing and vendor management strategy from their Toronto office. What you'll do
Lead the development and execution of the company's annual procurement strategy and sourcing roadmap. Manage a portfolio of vendor relationships across multiple categories including software, hardware, and professional services. Negotiate contracts and pricing terms with suppliers to secure favorable commercial outcomes for Clutch Technologies. Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to define procurement requirements and align purchasing decisions with business objectives. Oversee the evaluation and onboarding of new vendors through a structured qualification and risk assessment process. Monitor supplier performance metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce costs and lead times. Prepare and present procurement reports, forecasts, and budget analyses to senior leadership on a regular cadence. Ensure all procurement activities comply with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. Coordinate with the finance team to manage purchase orders, invoice reconciliation, and payment schedules. Champion diversity and sustainability goals within the supplier base by identifying and engaging underrepresented vendors.
Requirements
A bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field is required. A minimum of seven years of progressive experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management is expected. Candidates must have at least three years of experience managing a team or leading a procurement function. Demonstrated experience negotiating complex contracts with enterprise-level vendors is essential. Strong proficiency in procurement software platforms and enterprise resource planning systems is required. The ability to analyze large datasets and translate findings into actionable procurement recommendations is necessary. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the capacity to present to executive audiences are required. Experience working in a fast-paced technology company or startup environment is strongly preferred.
Nice to have
Certification such as the Certified Professional in Supply Management designation or equivalent is a plus. Familiarity with cloud infrastructure procurement and software licensing models would be advantageous. Prior experience managing procurement for a company with international operations or distributed teams is valued. Knowledge of sustainable sourcing practices and environmental, social, and governance criteria in vendor selection is beneficial. Experience implementing procurement automation tools or e-sourcing platforms in a previous role is a strong differentiator. Background in the technology sector, specifically in enterprise software or IT services, is welcomed.
Skills & tools
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data modeling for spend analysis and cost modeling. Experience with procurement-specific platforms such as Coupa, Ariba, or Jaggaer for source-to-pay workflows. Familiarity with enterprise resource planning systems including SAP or Oracle for procurement module management. Strong working knowledge of contract management software and digital signature platforms for vendor agreements. Ability to use business intelligence tools like Tableau or Power BI for procurement dashboards and reporting. Comfort with collaboration and project management tools such as Slack, Confluence, or Jira for cross-functional coordination.
