About the role
Cloudflare is on the lookout for a seasoned technical professional to oversee the entire customer journey for our significant enterprise clients. In this position, you will serve as a trusted advisor, guiding customers from the initial discovery phase through to long-term adoption and growth, leveraging AI-driven workflows to streamline administrative responsibilities.

What you'll do
- Partner with Account Executives to conduct in-depth technical discovery sessions, develop tailored architectures, and lead product demonstrations and Proof of Concepts across Security, Networking, and Developer Platforms.
- Facilitate the technical onboarding process and implementation, acting as the primary liaison for both engineering teams and executive stakeholders.
- Manage a dynamic quota that emphasizes new business acquisition, revenue retention, and the identification of expansion opportunities through analysis of product usage data.
- Conduct technical Quarterly Business Reviews aimed at showcasing return on investment to C-level executives, reinforcing the value of our solutions.
- Employ AI agents and internal tools to automate routine tasks such as responding to RFPs, completing security questionnaires, and provisioning sandboxes for testing.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on customer needs and product capabilities, driving successful outcomes for enterprise clients.
- Provide ongoing technical support and guidance to clients, ensuring they derive maximum value from Cloudflare's offerings throughout their lifecycle.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to effectively address customer challenges and propose innovative solutions.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in a customer-facing technical role, such as Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, or Forward Deployed Engineering.
- Extensive technical expertise in web security, networking protocols including DNS and routing, DDoS mitigation strategies, cloud infrastructure, and enterprise architecture principles.
- Proven track record of success in revenue-focused or quota-carrying positions, with a solid understanding of SaaS metrics and the enterprise sales process.
- Excellent communication abilities, capable of articulating complex technical concepts to C-suite executives and other stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically under pressure, ensuring client needs are met effectively.
- A proactive approach to learning and adapting to new technologies and methodologies in a fast-paced environment.
Nice to have
- Practical experience with Cloudflare's developer tools, including Workers AI, AI Gateway, and Vectorize, is a plus.
- Familiarity with Large Language Model orchestration, prompt engineering, or Retrieval-Augmented Generation architectures can be advantageous.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or JavaScript for developing API connectors and functions for edge computing.

Compensation: The annual salary range for this position in San Francisco is between $244,000 and $336,000, which includes on-target incentive compensation.
