In the position of Senior Solutions Engineer, Majors, you will serve as a pivotal technical consultant for our most significant clients, assisting them in navigating intricate architectural issues and ensuring they derive optimal benefits from Cloudflare's solutions. You will be responsible for managing the technical relationship from the initial engagement phase through to ongoing success and growth, acting as a reliable partner throughout their journey with us.

What you'll do
- Collaborate with clients to understand their business goals and align them with Cloudflare's technical offerings.
- Develop and maintain robust technical relationships with key stakeholders within major client organizations.
- Effectively communicate Cloudflare's capabilities and solutions to various levels of personnel within enterprise accounts.
- Lead technical demonstrations and oversee proof-of-concept projects to showcase our solutions.
- Contribute your knowledge by creating content such as white papers and blog articles to share insights with colleagues and the broader community.
- Represent Cloudflare at industry conferences and events, sharing your expertise and thought leadership.
- Provide tailored advice based on extensive knowledge of specific industries or domains to enhance client success.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure the seamless implementation of solutions and address any technical challenges that arise.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously enhance your knowledge and provide the best solutions to clients.
- Mentor junior team members and share best practices to foster a culture of learning and development within the team.
- Engage in regular feedback sessions with clients to ensure their needs are being met and to identify opportunities for further collaboration.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a client-facing technical role such as Solutions Engineering, Customer Engineering, or Sales Engineering.
- Comprehensive technical expertise in areas including web security, networking, cloud infrastructure, and enterprise architecture.
- A track record of success in roles that are revenue-aligned or involve quota responsibilities, with a solid understanding of SaaS metrics and enterprise sales processes.
- Exceptional presentation and stakeholder management abilities, with the capacity to convey complex technical information to executive-level audiences.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically in high-pressure situations.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with clients and internal teams.
Nice to have
- Practical experience with Cloudflare's developer platform and AI tools, such as Workers AI, AI Gateway, and Vectorize.
- Familiarity with prompt engineering, orchestration of Large Language Models, or architectures involving Retrieval-Augmented Generation.
- Proficiency in programming languages like Python or JavaScript for scripting tasks and integration purposes.

- This position may require authorization to access technology governed by U.S. export laws, and sponsorship for an export license will not be provided.
- The estimated compensation for hires in New York City ranges from $234,000 to $292,000 annually, which includes on-target incentive compensation.
- This role is eligible for participation in Cloudflare's equity plan.
